whats with all the recent strictness from the mods?

im sure im not the only one to notice the recent zero tolerance policy that seems to be the thctalk way now? the recent closing of alextheyids "cliques thread" for example? cant people have a disagreement in peace these days?

there was a time on thctalk where we used to have a laugh with each other and the mods let us get on with it - now it just seems far from the case.

theres a lot of stuff being closed, binned, locked, banned before it even gets heated or interesting. it never used to be like this?

so is it like a new policy or are there more members reporting posts/threads or what? whats changed?

ill be surprised if im the only one who has noticed the new "feel" around?

From my perspective mate, a fair few posts are being reported to me directly and to the Admin/Mods.

The thread I closed on 'Cliques' was just getting daft and abusive mate. We all enjoy some daft banter but when it starts becoming personal and nasty that's not good.

i dont think its about 'cliques', think its more to do with lazyness. ther is loads of posts on everything, some people cant be botherd looking for answers and want a quick reply. people are prob bored of answering the same Q's over and over. l started a thread to see what would happen, and apart from light hearted banter, ther were a few who posted just for abusing, u will always get them!

i agree with banter, and enjoy it, and find you cock hilerious, but when personally i have tried and shared my experience, as well as asking you experienced growers advice..surely this is what the forum is all about, with banter yes or its boring.
but if you just want to muck about with mates...go to facebook or actually meet?

The new Forum Etiquette was announced a month or so ago mate and the Mods are just trying to go by it. If people get abused in whatever way and report it a Mod will check it out and see if it goes against the forum etiquette.
Some people don't like being called a 'fucking cunt' and stuff like that... I know I don't! and some people are more tolerant and take it on the chin.
There's all sorts of people on the forum with different attitudes about what is/isn't acceptable... As you say Cock, some people are more sensitive than others, but it doesn't make them in the wrong for feeling that way. That's what makes the forum so varied with different points of view and outlook on life.

At the end of the day if people are abused, get upset over it and report it to Admin/Mods, it's only fair that action is taken. - For me that means closing/editing a thread rather than sin-binning or banning people. As that is a last resort in my book.
