how much have you got running on the plug socket?
i dont know much about electrics but the same happened with me..

i was overloading my ringmain with washing machine, dishwasher, kettle... and a 600w light
(there all very high wattage appliances..)

running just my 600w and a kettle (on a double socket) trips me too..

yeh check on your fuse box if theres 2 switches for lighting, 2 switches sockets ect..

if so, do what i did, use one for growing stuff and other for household..
i run my 600w at night aswell (not using much other electricity at night)

^ That. It's probably too many amps being drawn from one circuit. Or.. it's always possible that you have faulty/improperly constructed circuits somewhere in the house.

    Amps x Volts = Watts:

    600/120 = 5 amps
    600/240 = 2.5 amps

Most old houses have 60amp total with 15amp circuits (I think) so it's worth trying to power the light from a different socket and see if it still trips. You could just be overloading one of the circuits in your house.

    Good luck fella.

Hmmm.. in that case my gut feeling says it's your bulb/ballast circuitry that's causing a problem as it's the only common denominator.
It should be drawing 5amps max which shouldn't be causing an overload if your other devices don't trip the circuit.

    Is it under warranty?

You do if it doesn't work and was sold as working. Time for a refund I reckon.

Tell me about it. Shit happens. I've had to chop 2 grows early because of circumstances beyond my control. All that love, care and cash down the drain.

Feel for ya mate.. I know it's a bitter pill to swallow.

Still.. look on the bright side.. better to know now rather than mid way thru a grow.
