    Default Trimming buds during flowering

my plants are well into flowering now and packing on the weight, especially in the main colas. It seems that the "popcorn bud" on the lower branches are a waste of the plants energy. Would i benefit from snipping these off so that the plants can concentrate on budding from the main cola?

Quick response would be much appreciated!

I'll say - yes - but only if you send them to me.

You could, I always remove any bottom branches that wont get light and fer extra air circulation.

Personally I would let them mature until at least half the trichomes are amber. If you are feeding your plant enough and have adequate light you won't get much of a boost from removing them. I usually use some side lights to help the lower buds mature more completely. This time around I'm using a couple of LED panels as side lights.

The lower buds can divert nutrients away from the main cola's buds etc..if they are really low down and fluffy snip them off...
Smoking weed doesn't take my problems away, but it does stop me being arsed about them!

Sure, I agree if they are fluffy. If they are just small, tight buds I'd still let them mature some first though. Like I said, if you're feeding it right it won't make a very big difference in the main cola yield, and letting the smaller buds mature makes for better smoke

I cut away about 5"-6" off the bottom and yes bud goes in the bin.
