    Default root bound in 11 litre pots only 20 days old!!!

    hi all i'm on my first grow and i'm after a bit of advice, my plants have been under my hps for 12 days now and are about 20 days old and have been in 11 litre pots for about 10 days and they are already showing roots out of the drainage holes is this ok

    help please!!!!!!

    It's nothing to worry about mate...if your plant were rootbound it would look ill.

    trying to upload pics but the 19.5kb limit is too small my camera is taking pics at over 3mb's any suggestions?

    im no expert mate but i notice u aint filled your soil up to the top so lsing out on root growth

    They look fine to me mate, very healthy. The bit of root showing out the bottom is nothing to worry about. I do agree with acehigh it looks as though the pots could have taken a bit more soil. Are you planning to flower in those pots?, if you are I would be thinking about flipping them fairly soon and maybe when they have stretched a bit top the top of the pot up with fresh soil.

    Some pot trays wouldn't go a miss either.

    hi, great pics, dont worry about the roots showing they have only just got there and it would take awhile for them to be rootbound. Like someone said earlier you could repot them in the same pot and add soil to the bottom after the roots take more of a hold. my advice would be to hold off switching the light as they need perhaps a week or so more. good luck
