bit of a noob question but I have a male, if I grow it out can I smoke the pollen?
is it any use, I have the option of growing it and will be away from females

Cannabis pollen contains no THC, so I wouldn't suggest smoking it.
ah so when it says pollen press it means trichpress
thanks for the help, hate my lil plants, it's a wonderfull sat that I jus succesfully fimmed to good result
ah well
the death will be dignified
I could be wrong but I think the Dutch call trichomes, "pollen" hence pollen press.
This is where the confusion lies.
take it easy mate

Can't you use it for cannabutter? the leaves that is. I'm sure I've read that somewhere.
I've read that too but never tried it. I think male plants do contain CBD that changes to THC after isomerization. Therefore when you simmer the leaves in a pot with the lid on any CBD present will change in to THC, although the end product will be no where near as strong as cannabutter made with females.
Why don't you try Grim and let us know your results, I for one would be very interested.

damn I would have but he is sleeping with the, erm, compost now
was very small so would only get enough for like one brownie so not much use, next time someone has like 3-4 males they should try it.
Also if you talk to vik he'll tell ya bout it as I think I'm right in saying he uses his males for butter
RIP may his balls remain forever silent.
Male flowers actually contain quite a bit of THC but the pollen does not. You can certainly make oil or hash from mature males though.
