Ok, so I couldnt find a DIY for a cheap carbon filter so I made one.
The total cost, including postage cane to less than £10 including fans and with a 400W HPS keeps the space at 78f (25c) using a passive intake. Humidity is 49% (+/- 4%) lights on of off.
This is for a friendsd grow space, which is 30" x 30" and 72" high. (0.6 x 0.6 x 1.8)
I used
a 12"x 8" tupperware tub from ASDA £1.05
2 x 54cfm computer fans http://www.ebuyer.com/63281-120mm-bl...ctor-pfs12bk4p £2.07
a 570 x 470 cooker hood filter http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Cooker-Hoo...item45f9988f28 £2.98
A piece of mesh I had in the shed. (optional, garden wire will do the same job)
And a roll of duct tape.
1 Mark out the cutout for the fans on the body of the sandwhich box.
2 Cut out the holes for the fans. (I use a Dremmel but a sharp craft knife will do, or jigsaw or Stanley or Hacksaw!
