Default whats a ideal veg tent /mother tent

    hey all

what it is seeing i got a spare tent DR90II was bought stoned thought it be enough for 5 plants , but it aint

so thinking of using it for veging or keeping a mother plant in it ,

be good to see or read about your veg tents how you use them any info at all really

could i keep my mother plant in my veg tent when veging 5 plants ready to go in to flower room

just read a mother can be kept under a 250W CFL but when veging i would want to use a 400/600w MH then once veged move the 5 plants in to my flower tent

would swaping from a 250w CFL to a 400/600w MH cause any probs to the mother plant when veging for 5/6 weeks

and do you you think a DR90II is big enough for 1 mother and 5 veging plants , or do you think it would just be best to start from seeds

be very greatful for any help advice

I should also add that I only keep a DWC 21l bucket under it which is changed when I move it to the flower tent and I take another cut off the soon-to-be flowered plant, root it and then veg ad infinitum.

The camping wardrobe would be too small for your needs I think.

Probably not. But going the other way (switching back) might.

hi miss, thanks for the reply

i have read when you are about to take clones from a mother its best to swap from your 250W CFL to a 400/600w MH for 1 week also add some nutes that provide growth

so do you think it would give some kind of ill effets miss ,

    again thanks for the reply

How much space do you have to play with inside of your room?

2,5w/4l/2.5h spare room, just dont want a big groom well the mrs aint letting me which in turn is a good thing mate,

i could easy grow over the 10 plants in my room and make it last for 6+ month of smoke but canny take that risk,

so if i only grow 5 plants with a veg tent with a mother and 5 plants then happy days

but it looks like i have to choose from a mother tent or veg from seeds

Keep a tent of constant vegetive state.

Match up a tent that compliments the size of your flower tent and the room and enjoy the fruits of your labour by adding 5 plants into each tent every 5-6 weeks.

you could try passive intake into a small tent then extract that into a bigger tent with a bigger extraction and filter...if you follow lol

tent - fan - tent- filter - fan

i've not tried it but i guess it would rise temps a bit, but if the mother lives under a nice cool cfl then would it be too much of a problem??

i think up_in_smoke uses something like it in his awesome loft palace can't quite remember... have a look...

yeah see where you are coming from about the hot air that will need to be taken out of the mother tent wont be much if only using a CFL , but one i took uttings i wanted to use that tent to veg also

fire away any ideas matey , any help advice is more than welcome , i was just playing with the idea of having a second tent at all , its just sitting there doing nothing so is waste not to use it

but if i was it would be the idea you have said

big tent , CF-8''FAN- DUCTING -SMALL TENT -CF-DUCTING then exhaust out of groom, not a bad idea that mate not a bad idea at all ,

just mean with keeping the 8'' ducting ill need to make/cut a hole so it fits through my DR90II as the inlet/outlet holoe are only 6'' i think , would not be a problem , just tape it up good ,

    thanks for the reply bud

I may be misunderstanding something, but it looks like a couple of the posts above have carbon filters being used inline.

Most filters are single-ended, so you can't do duct--->filter--->duct or other similar variations.

Best bet might be to put the (single) filter on the duct outlet, and a Y-piece to bring together the ducting from the two tents.

    Code:
    Duct---- ----Duct
            Y
            |
           Fan
            |
          Filter

so yes my theory is crap to say the least haha

    thanks for the reply
