Question Completely baffled by the choices!!!

Firstly, I've grown a few plants like 25 years ago or something and always smoked for recreational use. I stopped about 15 years ago as it was doing my head in a bit!
Since then, i've been diagnosed with a progressive nerve disease (HNPP - neuropathy close to MS) and retired.
My partner has Irritable Bowel Disease (IBD closest to Crohns). We are both on stacks of meds but none of it sorts the pain.

We need to be able to grow something for both our problems but there is soooooooooooo much choice these days, and some of the seeds are way more expensive than i'd like!! I guess the internet has helped this quite a lot!

So, could anyone recommend a few types to grow in the greenhouse next year - short plants ideally, for relaxation and pain control without being 'heady' and 'monging'.
And maybe something to sort the pain and be a bit energizing with a cuppa in the morning and allow me to do stuff.???
I also have some lighting still so perhaps try growing a few out of season indoors?

Hope you can help with some first hand advice!
    Take care and good health!!

Seeds wise i have a look at the seed banks aswell if you look for american origin breeders you should be able to find something for your needs as they are all mainly medical orientated. TGA subcool do a lot of medical strains, Medical seeds, World of seeds to name a few. Best of luck to both of you and enjoy thctalk.
I think you might struggle for the exact effects you are asking for unless you look for sativa indica crosses as indica are more mongy but generally better for pain relief but sativa are more buzzy and less pain relief you've got to try and find a happy medium.

After stacks of reading, I've decided on Strawberry Cough, NL x big bud, and I have some bubba76, chronic juice and low girl (plus a few other freebies)
Spread between my new grow cupboard and the greenhouse, I should be able to get something grown to take away some of our pain!
Thanks to this forum, and the people on it, I think I should manage fine!
    Thanks everyone!

Hi Scott, sorry to hijack your thread for a bit but, what is your avatar? I went for a picnic a year and a half ago with Mrs Zen, there was a weird shadow on our wind breaker. Can you guess what it was?

You may also want to check out Harlequin a high CBD strain thats a bit easier on the THC and leans towards the pain relief and other nive medicinal properties.

Mine is a photo I took years ago, whilst under the influence of certain unmentionables. It's actually a mates shadow - with him pretending he's a moose!
