So far best excuse is my birthday but that isn't until Easter. I need to pursuade someone at work to get married so I can crash the stag party.

If you dont mind the appt details would be good as we stayed in a 4* this time and it was £180 each for 4 nights room only

bloody hell I've NEVER paid that much to stay in Amsterdam and we've had some nice hotels! We've also had some clean basic hostels which if theres a few of you you tend to get a room to yourselves in some

First time I went to Dam I stayed in the Hans Brinker (dogshite hotel) it was terrible, but it was so bad it was funny.

Next it was a hotel on the waterfront near the hydroplonics shop on the left of the train station, I think it was the city hotel that was worse - when the people upstairs had a shower water dripped on your head if you were having a dump.

I've stayed in the Golden Tulip, Krasnaspolsky, American & an appt on Singel which were all much better.

The best bit about an Appt is you can get a bucket of KFC during the day - stick it in the fridge & microwave it when you get back at 4AM and have an attack of the munchies.

I once stayed at the Orange Tulip on Damrak.
We had top floor room - more like a shed on top of the building, one windy night all five of us suddenly sat up in bed like WTF - the room was swaying in the breeze!
I've stayed in so many dam hotels they all blur into one very mediocre room!

Well I,ve just found out I,m off in about 2 weeks so NER!!!! I,m so childish at times.
Anyway, same as what everyone else is asking. We need cheap, cheap, cheap please. 3/4 lads so comfort is not too much of an issue.

hostels are cheap as, 15quid a night max

try expedia.com, lastminute.com, hotels.com, hotels.nl

The Bulldog does hostel dorms, rooms etc, theres plenty of small hotels around the red light district I stayed in one just round the corner from Hunters bar & another just up from the cockring they were 3* clean, basic & pretty cheap.

I&I always use booking.com comes with reviews of others (note don't listen to the septic tanks their hotel standards are SO high) and most places won't charge your credit card / switch untill arrival. Can highly recommed Yamsterdam apartments, ours was by the Black Star CS(avoid at all cost if Caucasian or if you must demand sensimilla).
