yield difference between 250/400 watt HPS

What would you say the yeild difference between a 250watt and 400watt HPS?

I saw somewhere that some people calculate a gram per wattage
if thats true then it would be 150 gram.

Your deffently more likely to get more off a 400watt light or the Buds will have more thc as its many more lumens per plant..

A 400watt Hps Gives off around 52,000 Lumens.. Which is enough to grow up to 8 mature plants..

So how much yield difference between a 250W HPS and a 250W CFL with SOG?

Assuming you keep the CFL as close as possible and you can keep the temp down with the HPS.

A grower with experance should be able to nearly double ther yields from a 250w to a 400w same as a 400w to a 600w and a 600w to a 1000w should be all just under double the yield

The other hand its almost double the price electricity bill to run

It all depends on how big the space is your growing in,they will all produce about the same per plant in the right size space as you can get a 250w HPS closer then a 400w HPS so the plant will receive the same amount of light cos the 250w HPS can be placed closer.

50cm to 80cm/sq = 250w
80cm to 1m/sq = 400w
1m to 1.2m/sq = 600w
1.2m to 1.8m/sq = 1000w

Yes m8 that is true it all does depend on the grow space and how many plants Growing style ect, But i do think each light from a 250w up to 1000w lets you grow bigger plants each time depending theres no other issues .

If it was only 1 plant with all the room it needs i would at least get 1/3 more or nearly double yields because the light can reach deeper and let the plants grow bigger . a 1000w can grow trees and a 250w grows plants

Personally i think the 600w is the best HID light on the market , Ive also notice since i started using a cooltube its taking away some of the lights intencity and lowered the average yield a little by a few grams
