    Default Whats your opinion on this lighting setup?

    Its been going round & round in my mind whether its a good idea or not so thought the best way to find out would be to ask on THCtalk.

    Its going to be a 2 tree plant RDWC op.
    3 x 600w bare bulbs hung vertically.
    3 bulbs will flip flop at any one time for 6 hrs in a "V" formation.

    X = PLANT
    O = BULB

    -----O------O-------O-----
    --------X---------X---------
    -----O------O-------O-----

    Does this make sense?

    Id like to hear anything constructive so go for it.

    well they wont have a shortage of light bro i cant see how they could fail in that, with a flippy floppy ! i was going to do sth similar with two 1000w in a 1.2m tent but unforeseen things came about
    and it was shelved

    looks good on the flip flop but with only 2 plants, 3 600's will be enough without flip flopping O---X---O----X---O easy

    makes your ballast light two bulbs in a flip flop circuit, ie one bulb is on for 6 hours then goes off and the next one come on for 6 hours, using the same ballast... theres probably a simpler explanation but i cant find it....

    I had 2 x 600w In A 1.2 tent.
    6" extraction with CF
    5" extraction with CF connected to a coolshade with one light in.
    4" intake.
    With all this I still had temps as high as 39'C.
    With summer coming as well the temps will only get worse.

    Good luck with your flip flopping.

    Its mainly for an even light penetration.

    I currently have 2 x 600W in a 2 x 2m tent with a 8" fan, the highest temp recorded has been 30C that was when we had those few hot days recently.
    I reckon if outdoor air used to cool the tent then it shouldnt be a problem.

    Amero I do not intake from outside.
    I have my reasons not too.
    I do understand however that this would rapidly help to reduce the temps.

    I did say 2x600 in a 1.2 (120cm square) tent.
