ideas to keep seeds warm whilst germinating?

i put 9 seeds in wet paper towels on a plate with another plate over it last night, two have started to pop, but the tempature in living room keeps fluctuating.

where would be best to store them untill they all pop?
on a radiator? sky tv box? in my tent with lights running but seeds covered?
what is the ideal tempature for quick germination?

As far as I know around 22-24 degrees celsius is fine for germination. I would say any of the above (radiator, sky tv box, in your tent with lights running but seeds covered) would be fine. You can even just germinate them in soil under the lights without covering them. Saying all this, I did just fail with my first germination but keep the temps steady, dont water too much and you should be fine. Good luck and let us know how you get on.

I have my temps at 29C so airing cupboards are pretty good in your tent with a heater is a good idea if nothing else
radiator sky box may well fry them so try and put them somewhere you can measure the temps.
stable temps make all the difference so try and find somewhere right, else it can take days

i put mine in tent with the lights running with another plate on top. was the only place i could think of where the temps would stay warm till all pooped. i also put cling film over the first plate to keep the towels moist longer. as dont want to be leaving them for 8 hours ''work'' then coming back and paper towel bone dry.

I get the misses to incubate mine for 3 days

i put my seeds in some moist paper towel then lock paper towel inside a small zip tie baggy. the baggy goes into a ps3 game box which then sits on top of my digi box. keep it at a nice constant heat and stays nice and moist

yer there are many many ways ..I believe Grub puts his seeds between his butt cheeks.
