Thread: Wiring up a TT100 extraction fan

    Thanks WWM and Mr.Bimble,

    I have now wired this up and it works fine.

    I used the desk fan, cut the adaptor off and wire it in.

    Works a treat.

    Hey. Im having this same problem and I cant seem to make sense of this booklet! I have 3 core rubber flex 6amp. Is this going to be alright to use? I have a selection of Plugs too, which is best to use with the 6amp cable?
    if anyone could help me itll be great.

    I used a PC cable well this one was sold as a ballast's/CFL cable in the growshop I bought it but its the same as our PC cables over here:

    If you have 3-core wire - cut the earth wire so its short enough to be out of the way and insulate it with some tape and just use brown & Blue as above. the two boxes symbol means it's double insulated and no earth wire is needed.

    Sorry to drag up an ancient thread, I've got a RUCK 100A and I've wired the earth up already... does that matter? I mean, if there's a safety issue about having the earth wired up, I can redo it.

    If your fan has a symbol of two boxes one inside the other then it's double insulated so doesn't require an earth - If there is a connection with an Xmas tree shaped image or a big "E" then you should connect the earth wire to it.

    Thiss is why I love all of my community.... Haha I was so confused. And sorry... they need to realise (the tt Co' ppl who ate making and selling this) we need stoner info. Exactly like you all gave... in fact, I'm ringing tt vents and telling them.... employ from this forum for instructions. This picture is me panicked before I opened my go to tapatalk and my friends here...ohhh. I need the plug not the kettle stand...see, I needed you lol I jest but it's Croatian to most. Thanks for the help. Even if it was years ago this was sorted prob solved!
