Default Wilma/DWC, does pot size matter?

When using a wilma system with the top tray drilled to get the roots into the res, does it matter about the size of the pots as much? My thinking is that if I used smaller pots the roots will get in ther faster and use less pebbles. Or would that still restrict the size of the plants? FF

your thinking is correct smaller pots and roots into the water quicker is good but bigger pots will give your plants better support
