...well it seems I was being optimistic in that last post...the humidifier didn't raise the humidity at all...I've got a wet towel stretched along one side of the tent, three black plastic trays with water in, and the humidifier sitting next to the intake because there isn't room in the tent. But the fact remains that the ruck100 with phat filter is pulling somewhere in the region of 200 cubic metres per hour (this is just a guess...I've got no idea how much the filter affects it) through the tent, and no simple method can keep up with that rate of exchange...so the question is, do I really need that much air? If the tent is 2 cubic metres then the air is changing 100 times every hour. This doesn't seem unreasonable at all because I've read about people growing with 400 changes per hour, and the temperature will be too high if I lower the rate of extraction...hmm...

    Current RH:
    At soil level = 28%
Midway between plant tops and light = 23%
Covered with propagator lid (seedlings) = 44%

Temp is consistent between 80-85f measured in four places.

low rh is a good thing in flowering i would be happy with 30% to 40% for flower but your problem is as you metion the air is too dry ! where is your growroom in the house?? can you not turn the heatin down in that room?? open a window ?? last resort you could try buying a fogger unit cheap of the bay and stick that in there

Are the plants showing signs of stress? If not don't worry cannabis won't just drop dead at a slight humidity problem. Come flowering you will be very happy with low humidity.

sic - Growroom is tucked away in the middle of a large house. No heating on in the room, open window already gives access to cool air. Living on a busy road probably doesn't help.

cocohead - The plants look good. Nice colour, healthy-looking satin effect on the new growth, first leaves are looking a bit tired but nothing to be concerned about. I'm not too worried but I do want to optimise their environment as best I can. The plants I'm growing should be fairly hardy and I doubt they'll be particularly held back by low humidity, I've even got a little seedling at 30% and it seems fine....but in the future I want to use this setup to grow a bunch of different strains, some of which will be a lot more sensitive to this problem.

I know this is an old thread but a search of a well known search engine brought me here. If your extraction on a speed controller, slow it down to gain 5-10% humidity. Cheers
