iv just done my fist grow they was autoflowering plants wich i used 2 X 300w cfl but the thc level was really low

any tips on how i can get high thc levels?
plus iv now got rid of the 2 cfl lamps and got one 250w dual spectrum hps will this be better?

what do you mean low THC levels? If you mean you were dissapointed with the yield, its certainly because you used CFLs and autoflowers. Changing to an HPS and trying another variety of seed will help your yield - also if your problem is you arent getting high enough/there are too few trichs on your plant it may be because you harvested early. The HPS will probably be better but it is a very low wattage, id go for a 400/600 if i were you.

if your gonna do auto again, research what your gonna grow, and by research i dont mean read what it says about them from the breeders or site you are buying from. ask people on this site who have grown them. breeders and seed banks do no necessarily lie, but if it says thc levels of 25% and flowering period of 9 weeks this is not going to be the case. these guidlines are set by experts growing these strains in labs, using the sort of equipment peole like us could only dream of. so ask people who have grown themselves. and for yeild the hps is far better than the cfl. i am on my first grow but have done extensive research into all my equipment and strains. if you want auto i recommend the afghan kush ryder, i have one nearly ready to harvest, it has shown no signs of stress or illness, and my temps were very high at one point. for your first grow the akr will grow its self with a little help from your self!

i dont think i have the space for 400/600watt iv only got W 700mm L 1100mm H 1300mm and the autos i had was a Mi5 shark bite and dr feelgood.

i got a 1200mm by 800mm tent and i got a 600w hps in there mate, bigger light better bud! check my diary theres pics of setup and plants in there.

i thought it said 1800mm high, maybe it will be a little bit much to have 600 in there.

but i am still new to the game lol im trying out the Russian rocket fuel this atm im just over 4weeks in.
i think i need to learn how to grow normal plants and not just auto flowering ones is there much difference part from the vegging?

autos flower in response to age rather than light cycle. an auto will flower with the lights on all day if that is how you wish, normal/photoperiod plants need exactly 12 hours ligh/dark to flower. so autos are defo easier to grow. but they do not produce as much yield or in some cases thc. and when running a big light they can also cost more to grow as they need a minimum of 18/6 lights for the whole grow.

What sized pots/medium? what light cycles, what feeding regime? what environment? how long grown? state of trichs of the plant when harvested?

If you can answer these it may help throw some light on it

the first pots i used was a bit small 3litter i think and i used canna professional plus soil with canna terra flores - canna terra vega - canna rhizotonic - and canna boost the ones near the end i used canna pk 13/14

3l pots for the first 11 weeks. there is a problem straight off imo. thats a long time to be in somthing that small. mine are in 11l pots at week 7-8 and i can see roots pokeing outta the bottom when i move them.
