Luckily she didn't go back down, sometimes when they see light the turn and bolt for the bottem (460 feet in this case) and there's nothing you can do to stop them, then the battle starts again, soul destroying at times. I've seen bigger men than me have to hand the gear over while they have a rest

That's some propper hard graft fella and a big fkin fish too.
Sounds like a propper fkin mission to get them in the boat. I would be scared of tipping the boat and falling in.
You sir are fkin hardcore and I am sothern fairy,,,carp fisherman

Not fished in a while or even fished seriously judging by some of you guys but I used to love it, we would roll up around 3am get the rods in the water the sausages on the bbq the cans in the loch to chill and then sit and have a smoke and watch the sun come up, bloody awesome it was, come to think of it don't know why I stopped and may well
    dig out the rods again.
    Tight lines guys

I'm a fisherman. Been fishing for around 10 years now. Had a go and love most types of fishing. Coarse fishing, deep sea, fly, pier and beach fishing. I'm mainly a coarse fisherman who targets certain species, a bit of a specimen fisherman but as of yet there have been no record breakers. Love it, want to get away this summer with the bro in law for a long weekend carp hunting with a big bag of ganj.

Yeah the spot we fished has so much natural beauty it was breathtaking, the peace and quiet was occasionally inter-rupted by a rogue duck or 6 but sometimes we would go hours without even speaking to each other, It was only trout fishing (brownies) an I was never that good at it with my biggest being a 2lb caught on a bubble. Used to fish one rod on the bottom with a feeder and one on the surface with the bubble, even with just a 2lb brownie the take on the surface was awesome, within 2 mins of reeling it in it was gutted and on the BBQ lol.

Still got one rod left lurking somewhere in a cupboard that is gonna get dusted off me thinks.
