its by kryston its a shock/snag leader but i use it to make hooklinks (though tangles are a problem with the supple braid so pva sticks or bags are a must)

This was the boat I worked on for nearly 5 years.. She's a Norwegian trawler built long liner built in 68/69 and made for deep waters.. She was 33 meters long and weighed 450 tons dry weight..

We caught halibut as big as garage doors quite often and other stuff like sharks and hundreds of other specimens as you can imagine, oh and even the odd shopping trolley etc etc lol ImageUploadedByTapatalk1342256051.781537.jpg

That's her taking part in the brixham boat race

Nice one mate, I would love to make a living working on the sea, it's in my blood. I did have a short spell in the merchant navy in the 80's and put it down to one of my best life experiences. My cabin was opposite the engine room so I often put my mattress out on the hatches and slept beneath the stars sailing down the Indian Ocean. Wake up in the morning for my watch and pick up the flying fish that landed on board during the night and take them to the galley to be filleted and fried for breakfast. In the evenings the crew used to gather on the stern with guitars and accordions, sing songs and drink a few cold beers.............and they paid me for it lol

I agree there m8 it's a very interesting and addictive experience indeed..

We had good trips and bad trips sometimes landing in debt and other times filling up with 750 boxes of prime white fish ££££££ happy days

The boat in the pic was a liner which fished with hooks, in total if I remember there was around 20,000 of them stretching around 7 miles lol
