I know, but the commentary above suggests that the climate might be wildly unpredictable for a while to come yet, and that weather extremes of all types will become more frequent, which seems relevant to the topic.

If they're correct, which thay may or may not be, then a period of universal global cooling might be some way off.

I loved winters as a kid. If there really is a mini ice age coming...it will give me an excuse to buy One of those retro green parker coats with the long zip up hoods that look like you have a tunnel attached to your face. You could only see a small disc of reality if the hood was zipped up fully (2ft past your chin). And why wouldn't it be? These were late 70s.

These coats also came with a free licence to stumble around in the snow, bumping into the general public, and generally acting (and sounding) like a blind and retarded walrus.

Bring the ice age on, I want that coat.

Get the coat, man. Any winter is excuse enough! What size are you? Might be able to sort you out with one. (And is blue any good or does it have to be green?)

technically we are still in an iceage now, 'an iceage is ongoing untill the polar icecaps have melted' i can deal with warmer weather happily

I'm a SFC size (short fat caant). Any colour is fine, as long as it has the telescopic hood, with fur.

Aw, I seem only to be able to get hold of medium or small sized parkas at the moment. But they're all over ebay, telescopic hoods, some with orange lining an' all. Just a few examples among many - I can't post the links directly but type these numbers into ebay's search box:

I've found a khaki green one with orange lining in a size XL. Would that be any good?
