Do you mind the swearing?
I have noticed a few ppl just lately moaning about the swearing thats going on.
I find this really strange as the swearing has no direct threat or anything along with it, its just ya usual banter.
I just cant see the problem? :s .....

I could just imagine sitting with some mates passing joints and bongs and someone moaned about a swear word, that really would give me the giggles
If you want to see what 'robust' banter on an adult forum can really be like then I suggest you check out some of the archives from 10 years ago for the Usenet group uk.rec.motorcycles I spent a while hanging out there back in the day & believe me some of the posts would make your hair curl. Makes this place look like Tellytubby Land.

Swearing is fine in the right context, Dank i think you have misinterpreted the complaints from people, Its not so much the swearing as much as it is the amount of this so called banter, There has been a decline in intelligent knowledgeable answers from members and an increase of immature comments.

It's horses for course mate, some people don't mind it, others do.
I think it's fine if used in the right context, ie: 'I saw a huge fucking spider in the bath'.
But when it's aimed at people or used to offend people like: 'You fucking c*nt' it can be out of order and offensive.
Personally I've been brought up not to swear in front of women, pensioners or kids, so I tend to stick with that when coming online too as I'm sure we have all three on the forum.
IMO Some people do come across as being a bit dense if every other word they use is 'fuck'... and the people who use 'fuk', well there's no hope for them at all.

It depends on the context and what is being said, and who by. For example I don't think it is very good when I hear little children in my estate that are about 5 telling each other there fucking faggot cunts etc. But whats the harm in adults having a bit of banter that may contain swearing? Nothing imo. It is a proven fact that being able to verbally show displeasure is a good thing otherwise violence would be the only means. Any of you see the show on swearing with Stephen Fry where he and Brian Blessed did the ice thing?
