compo rules

Ok ive got a few mates that grow & as most do we all say mines better (well mine is) they are soil growers also so i figure lets put this to the test & find out with a Grow-off to see who knows the grow better so i ask you thoroughly established growers

What should the rules be For example:

Rule 1) Got to be the same strain & similer pheno

Can anyone add to this to ensure the competition is fair

Same Lighting Wattage, same strain, same 'pop' date.

Then when chopped everyone supplies a dry bud. Leave them for 3 weeks cure to get the full effect and have judgement day

same equipment, all have clones from same mum take 9 choose 4, set a veg time or end date and see who wins

To make it as fair as possible, the judging should probably be done by an impartial third party, and it should ideally be a double-blind tasting.

As miss said, a blind judge would be most accurate

If your trying to discover the best grower then you would ideally use your own systems?

I agree about the same wattage, should also consider a good cure before judgement day

It all depends what your trying to prove tbh

Taste and smell is often take second and third place behind yield when people consider growin.. IMO it must be taste first and then smell and then yield I'd rate out of 15 for taste and smell and i'd also do a weight points system where g/pw is set at say 0.5g and whatever you get over that are points.

So for eg.

Your weed gets a 12/15 for taste its 12 points.
Your weed gets a 14/15 for smell its 14 points.
Yield wise you achieve 0.86g/pw then you'd get 36 points
Your total is 62 points.

That's got all the bases covered for scoring then imo

Its for the taste & smell all the way & i grow as close to organic as i can id have to sacrafice yeild & keep it organic to give the best taste

Thats two compo's i might be involved in im after the tree & puting a few mates in their place lol
