I played in a million dollar tourni sunday night 16500 players started at 7pm , i was 4th and 30 players were left, each time someone got knocked out the kitty was going up in hundreds , the final table it was going up in thousands, anyway i was dealt 2 jacks , so i raised , then i got reraised, now at this stage in a tourni you gotta go for it i had over a million in chips and this was to go to first place or out , so i reraised he went all in , my head was fold, call and so on , i was countiong the cash going on my hols the lot , anyway i thought fck it, in it to win it and it was 5.30 monday morning id been playing nearly 11 hours so i call , he turns AK over , ill take that any day i thought , HU going in front is about the best you can do at this stage , so the flop was turned , my head is going round and round, on ands on , no king no ace , so the flop no aces or kings , im buzzing , the turn no aces or kings , the river a bastard king lands , i was devoe`d man , anyway i cashed out 300 and odd up , so wasnt bad , woke up at dinner got ,my head back on the tables playing and smashed another 300 and im still smashing it now im up over 700 this week so far , now my problem is ill work all week on my bank roll playing like a king , go out saturday nights get in and jump in a game or 5 and play virtually every hand thinking i can win them, when in reality you should be playing 10 to 20 percent of hands dealt and i blow all my hard work , te moral of this story is , dont play poker blindo`ed , i just thought id share my bit of luck this week with you , cheerts all.

Yes those dirty river rats , gawwwd dam the fuckers, i just smashed 2 wins on the 15$ x 27 seaters 138 each game x 2 and im doing ok in another 4 , so things are looking up , until the weekend lol.cheers m8y

Unlucky Jim.
I always seem to get done with the river rat too mate lately.

but JJ against Slick is a good race really just unlucky he hit.
I only really tend to play live games now - usually a 6/7 man Sit n Go with my mate every wednesday and Sunday - just an excuse for a meet up with the boys really and have a smoke.

I was playing in Vegas last month whilst out there on a stag do and that was a unreal experience.
Good luck with the tables mate, I hope u carry on winning big.

unlucky Jimmi,

thats a good run for your money,

and you havent tilted it off by the look of it,

dont think about fixed or any of that sort,focus on the positives,thats the way to keep winning,

u got it in good

its down to lady luck after that

hope that bankroll gets fatter,

ps stay off PKR u shark,I`m barely breakin even

I was in a game with the lads for £300. It was me and my mate heads up, last 2 players.
I had a pair of rockets, the flop came and it was fuck all, I checked, he went all in and I was like "I'll have some of that" and called.
He turned over a pair of Kings, the turn came and it was also fuck all. At this point i'm something like 96.7% win.
The river came and it was a fuckin King.................................devastated!

Yes i do ok out of it ive won a few grand over the years, PKR ive tried m8 i caqwnt man im too busy fucking around making daft noises been annoying , i cant help its the kid in me.

Most times its on the flop because there are three times more cards then the river if you cant see that then you shouldnt be playing.

Any way like you say Jimmy JJ against AK is well in front and we would all make money if that was played out ad infinitum

I would recommend reading some books on poker if you really want to make money at it

I am playing on Cruise ships in the caribbean next month as its about the easiest money you can find on a poker table.

I only play ring games as I find it far easier to be consistent and step up the levels as you improve

Books to read are brunsons super system and Dan Harringtons cash game poker.

Also live poker is far easier then online poker fwiw.

You gotta love a bad beat now and then, thats why we love poker, I'm up around 3.7k for the year so far but when I reach the 4k mark I plan to up my buy ins and hopefully therefore pay-outs. I'm running around a 56% strike rate on single table SnG NLE, and around 48% on MTT, Recently got into omaha though it's the badgers nadgers but so much more to consider each hand.

Last tourney I played, deep into a 250k sunday storm on PS, I looked down at 77, Min raise pre-flop with 3 of us waiting to see, flop comes 2 7 Q, I bet just over half the pot and the guy next insta 3 bets me, next guy mucks and im thinking bet back or slow play my set, decided to re-raise him and he shoves with a stack covering mine, draw my line in the sand and turn my 7s over, he turns 10's and yes...you guessed it, blank on the turn and a 10 on the river, I was as sick as a big bag of sick things lol

wow icon u really think DBs super system is a good book? id say its the most outdated form of playing poker and miss information out there its how all the old guys who are goin busto now are playing..... the best poker books you will find are winning poker tournaments one hand at a time by rizen, pearljammer and apestyles who have ammased 16mil in winnings in online mtts all hand historys discussed in the book are from theres the hand breakdown and info is imo the best there is harrington on hold em is great i agree icon but live being easier than online LOL yeah there are donk galore but u can only one table live u can make alot more online than u can live ive played for a living for 2 years played sit n go's had a 9k downswing switched to mtts done ok then took my roll out for my new business ive started i have a huge circle of friends who play proffesional online and live.

was this the sunday million ur talking about on stars jimmi and u only got $300 for 30th or am i missing summit here? best ive cashed in that was 9k thought i was shipping the thing for sure.

also icon do u play cash games for a living and at what stakes etc mate? the cruise ships sound tasty i stay well clear of ring games as i am a complete spewtard in them lol i have a few friends who sit 11 hours a night in casinos and make a living from that 5 6 days a week. thats a propper grind right there. i prefer firing up 20 mtts over the course of 14 hours and playin the best game alive NLHE

I went on a proper heater after posting on here

6 £10 dollar 9 seat turbos

won 3,second 1,last the other 2

$5 Dollar 180 seat turbo,won it

1 sesh of 5/10c cash,9 man ring,ran like a fookin God for 4 hours

and 98th out 8.5k in the Bigger $5.50,on Stars

all in all about $800 up on last weeks roll total,

bought a mini Growstar reflector and a wee RC Helicopter as a treat as well,

Turbos are fun for break,but a proper shove fest,not really poker

The thing about Super System is not the things your refering to its about a non player learning and understanding the basics and turning it into a profitable pass time from there its up to the individual to progress and perfect there game
Yes you can say its outdated relative to the young kids but its simply not true the poker facts are the same now as they were then and always will be.
Dont forget Im talking Cash poker and that is/was Doyles forte the fact he won the WSOP twice is not really relevant as there were only a few players back then.
