Default Spent a day with Greg from Cannabis Cure UK

    Hi all,

I jumped on a train at Victoria the other day and went to an undisclosed locale in Surrey to spend a pleasant afternoon and evening with Greg de Hoedt who has a website and Youtube channel dedicated to cannabis in respect of medicine and he himself has Crohn's disease and so has a very personal interest in cannabis for medical reasons.

Greg was a very easy going and friendly feller who makes a grand cup of tea and was a great host so had a nice smoke, 12 blasts on sativex and a few eye droppers of superskunk oil in p.e.g. ( polyethylene glycol ) rather than the usual glycerine to smooth over the afternoon and we had much to talk about like the current political situation, his stay in the US learning all about production and distribution of various canna products, various strains we like, etc etc so generally shot the shit about loads of things but he brought this book out which had been gifted to him by a Spanish grower and contains various strange non ordinary leaf mutations collected over 20 years and it was just great, felt like handling something rare and was a joy to go through.

I had brought samples of Exodus and Cheese#1 for Greg to take the cheese pepsi challenge but we just got caught up in all sorts of conversations so never got around to it but he did get to see the Prague lab results and I was quite impressed with how much Greg learnt whilst in America about the cannabinoid analysis side of things.

Greg is also part of NORML UK which is at the moment a tiny fledgling of an organisation compared to her big and rich American brother and he is also working on trying to get grower/smoker cooperatives going in the UK which is very optimistic in my humble opinion but hey ya gotta try!

So all in all it was a day well spent and in good company and also had interesting conversations with some Kurds and Hungarians on the train journey and all prompted by inquiries into my ecig I was using.

So I've forged a good link with Greg and no doubt we'll be hooking up again soon and probably at one of the various 'smoke meets' he attends around the country.

    Hi VMAX mate,

I've not yet put up the actual results as the printout has all the lab details on it and this was work done on the side in a government lab so have to redact a lot of it so need to talk to the chap I got this from and he's at the Mediseedcollective but the site is down as they are moving servers but once I get in touch I'll discuss with him what I can show and what I should hide.

Thing is, I thought this test was also for the primary terpenes as that would show similarities or differences between the Exodus and Cheese#1 but it's for thc delta 9, cbd and cbn only and it shows the Exodus came it at 14% thc 1% cbd and the Cheese#1 ( a ten week pheno taken at 8 weeks ) was 13.2% thc and similar cbd but to be honest any Skunk#1 from that time would look the same in such a basic test.

So I'll be putting the graphs up soon but am also looking for a lab closer to home like Holland as I have a contact with the people who do analysis work for Sensi Seeds and so might be able to get a more comprehensive test done at sometime in the future.

That's a pic of the superskunk tincture which was really ok tasting, much nicer than Sativex.

That's really interesting mate, I have smoked a few strains now & have just flowered a small 89 Exodus cutting which has been grown in soil & has now had 3 weeks curing in a jar the smoke is out of this world & knocks me for 6 & I only smoke this just before I go to bed as I know I will sleep undisturbed the whole night in fact the house alarm went off the other night & the better half had to wake me up to tell me!!!!!

    Not that I don't believe you but I can't believe it's only 14% THC!!!!

    Hi Uncle,

that is indeed a true figure obtained courtesy of a certain government lab.

And I've been helping a friend make some nice BHO from Exodus and Cheese#1 rough trim.

We purged it 3 times over a bain-marie ( bowl in boiling water ) and stirred vigorously for 10 minutes each time.

It came out of the fridge very hard, much harder than some I'd added isopropyl alcohol to in order to filter out particulate matter
and the iso was totally evaporated.

I used it orally in quite large doses to treat a persistent swelling I had around my ankle which is probably due to circulation problems caused by
my dim and distant class A use but I couldn't believe the next morning, I swear, 90% of the swelling was gone and totally gone in 3 days
and must attest to cannabis's anti inflammatory properties and nobody is more pleasantly surprised than I am?

    They realise Unc',

Was chatting last night with an MS sufferer who was on the original Sativex program. She said the best thing about it was that her daily depressions were virtually illiminated but when she reported this positive effect back she was dropped like a stone from the test program. Can't be seen to be proving it works as alledged, it goes against all their misguided principles.
