Will my ghetto grow area work?

Think I see the female pistils, correct?



So from what I've read it's time to get her on an official 12/12. She was on natural sunlight until now.
I wandered around the shed looking for things I could use to set her up inside.
So far, it's mostly to keep the cats away from the plant. But still curious if this will get the job done.
I could only find fluorescent tubes, so there are 8 4ft T12 bulbs on a timer set to 12/12.
There is a floor vent inside the plant's area, so temps are in the mid 70*Fs, since that's what the house AC is set to.
Humidity is at 40%
Plant is 4-6 inches from the lights.

Will this work to get her to flower?

It all looks very leggy and stretched. How much wattage have you got there? It looks very dark and they look like cool white tubes. Warm white work better for flowering, they have more red spectrum, the cool ones are better for vegging becasue of the blue spectrum in them...

Might have to enclose the area and upgrade the lighting a bit,as stated you will need some red spectrum light to flower,and a fan would be good for airflow once you do enclose it.Good Luck and happy growing mate.

not ideal but it will flower the girl(if it is a girl) but you need sides on that because when the lights go out it must be totally dark other wise it won't flower! and yes it could do with red spec or hps but thats what you're got so thats what you're using!! there must be a cheap way of sealing that up

to seal it up cheap and quickly buy the standard white reflective sheeting build a quick box shape with wooden straps and just cover it with the reflective sheeting and ductape up all the joints and bobs your uncle a perfect little setup for ya first grow.

It will flower under 12/12 regardless of the wattage but it won't yield well without red spec light and a higher light output. As said before, your plant looks a little spindly, it could have done with more light before now so it's not in the best condition for large yields but she looks healthy, so you will see what the limits of cfls are with this one and maybe upgrade to hps or more powerful cfls with a mixture of spectrum's.

Sorry for my lack of response, been down with pneumonia that last couple weeks.

I only use the grow area pictured from 8pm to midnight to meet the 12/12 requirements. The other 8 hours of light she's on the back porch in the sun.

You might want to get a 250w HPS, as it would use less power (you currently use 320w with those T12) and produce a hell of a lot more weed. But whatever works for you - it's budding so by all means continue as you are. Sweet as mate.

What it all boils down to is finances. I'm crippled and trying to support a family on my disability income. So I have no money to spend on any of this. Just gotta make due with what I've got. It's only under the T12's for 4 hours a day. The rest is all sunshine..

We've been blessed with a nice sunny grow season this year.
So it's been more sunshine than ghetto, but she's still under the lights for about 4 hours a day.
I'll get some new update pics today for ya'll..
