I live in the Midlands and a fair few growers have been caught and not gone to jail. I'm talking decent sized ops too.

South Coast is lovely but bloody expensive. I like the look of Hereford and Worcester myself, countryside and only an hour away from Birmingham and an hour away from the sea like Burnham or Weston.

Aye, a mate of mine had some success with some snow ryders lately, think i'll get them next time and give them a go along with a few freebies I have
yep, loving the weather of late, think next week is to get shit again though, so may make the most of it.
Kind of got food sorted, homebase didn't have much so went with Miracle Gro Organic which had the highest P of them all at about 6. But I've since learned that specialist stuff has a P of about 20 so not sure what if anything this will do for them. Fed em yesterday and left 1 non-fed so i can compare and contrast.
You any on the go ?

I have heard it said more people in New York claim to be Irish than in Dublin! (not sure how true that is but since Dublin seems to be full of Eastern Europeans it may well be true)

Do you know what they grew outside? I've only tried Snow Ryder (autoflower) but I would love to try a proper, regular strain as it would yield heavier than an auto-flower. I only chose auto-flowering seeds to begin with because the Ruderalis strain (present in all autoflowers) could supposedly withstand harsher climates but also because the shorter grow time meant I would have time for a second harvest. I would happily go for one harvest a year if I thought a regular strain would work...

It's all to do with the NPK ratio. For example, the Biobuzz Bloom feed I use has a NPK ratio of something like 2.0-6.0-3.5. This could be 30-100-30 or 1-3-1 or whatever - It doesn't matter as long as the P ratio is higher. This only applies to plants in flower though. When you're vegging, you want a higher ratio of N (nitrogen). I personally would stay clear of Miracle Grow. I used it for my very first grow way back and the smoke was quite harsh and rather foul but then again, I didn't have a clue back then and didn't flush the plants or anything before I chopped them down (I probably fed them the day before harvest lol). Mind you, the horrible taste and the sore throat it gave me still didn't put me off as it was my own home-grown and was therefore the best smoke in the world! Well, to me at least...

Yeah, I started a second round of snow ryders a couple of months back. These were to be the replacements for the first grow but that batch took a little longer to finish than I had expected. To be honest, I probably could have left the first batch for another few weeks as they were growing new bud-sites every day but the weather was turning to shit so I decided to chop them and moved the second batch into a temporary grow box with a cfl light, just until the weather improved. It didn't improve and I delayed planting the second batch out and instead added another cfl light to the box, you know, just to keep them going until the sunshine returned. This trend continued and I had to start tying the plants back to keep them from getting burned by the lights (I had less than a metre of vertical grow space). When they became impossible to tie back any further, I decided to build a frame to tie them back with. It was sometime after this that I began to realise I had turned my "temporary grow box with a light" into a full-on 400W CFL Mini-SCROG!

Sorry for the crappy quality of the pcitures but as you can perhaps see, these are a few weeks away from being ready but I have family coming to stay next week and they will no doubt be into all of my shit. There is just no way I could keep these hidden and I don't think they would survive the shock of being planted out this far in so they are getting chopped this weekend. Real shame too as the difference between growing these indoors under proper lighting compared to outdoors is huge! The bud-sites are kinda all over the place as the frame was added late and it was impossible by then to get them ideally placed. I'm sure you can also tell that I built the frame in five minutes one afternoon using a bamboo cane, insulted wire and some tape

    Cheers,

I doubt the quality will be there. I've never smoked 'premature' bud before but I have flushed the plants for the last week so hopefully I can get something at least smokeable...

How is that racism when Irish and English are the same race generally.

I think you'll find that they are not.

DNA testing shows that the Irish and the Scots are genetically more similar to Eastern European nationalities than to any of the Western European nationalities except for the Icelanders to some extent. The Vikings brought a lot of Irish slaves to Iceland some 1,000 or so years ago.

All of the Eastern European nationalities have admixtures of some Asiatic (or Mongoloid) elements.

This says that at some time in the past, the ancient Celtic and Germanic tribes drove a wedge between the Scots and Irish and their eastern relations. The English and the Welsh descend mostly from Celtic Britons and Germanic peoples.
    Mind you:

Historians teach that they are mostly descended from different peoples: the Irish from the Celts and the English from the Anglo-Saxons who invaded from northern Europe and drove the Celts to the country’s western and northern fringes. But geneticists who have tested DNA throughout the British Isles are edging toward a different conclusion. Many are struck by the overall genetic similarities, leading some to claim that both Britain and Ireland have been inhabited for thousands of years by a single people that have remained in the majority, with only minor additions from later invaders like Celts, Romans, Angles, Saxons, Vikings and Normans. The implication that the Irish, English, Scottish and Welsh have a great deal in common with each other, at least from the geneticist’s point of view, seems likely to please no one.

Fairly disappointing to be honest. It was way too early to harvest them, the buds weren't fully formed and really needed another few weeks to mature. They are currently drying, will post some pics later if I remember lol
