Just a quickie,
Do trichomes repair themselves or do they have a one chance only?
I have noticed that when looking for colour change in them with my scope some trichs have there head/ball missing as its either fallen off or been squashed by me.
Will this grow again/fill back up?
Or Are they like corners? Cut one off and two more appear??
Cheers guys and gals if you have any answers or any more queries to chuck into the thread?

im pretty sure the glandular trichomes can repair themselves,
if you take the resin head off, it should be replaced in a few days
this is a guess as soma says in his organic grow guide about rolling joints against plants in the sixth week
he says only do this in the sixth week as it allows the trichomes to regenerate....
so thats my two pence, until someone comes and trumps my theory

that means they we're on hooked trichomes, trichomes are either straight or hooked

cheers Jesse thats what i love about this site you learn something every day
imo no, trichomes dont repair themselves
ive damaged patches of trichomes, like a thrumbprinnt whilst checking my trich
they damage and deteriate, if the trichome head is damaged then it turns amber/brown prematurely
you can see they are leaning or punctured
and other trichomes may pop aorund around it, but i know for sure that that patch always had the orginally damaged trichomes
then again it could depend on how badly the trich was damaged
