Some fantastic Macro photography going on here. Nice clean crisp images. I also agree turn off your HPS before taking any snaps because this will ruin the image and can hurt the sensor in your camera too.

Im looking forward to snapping away just waiting for the clones to arrive... I'd say probably the greatest way to improve close up shots is getting a tripod, and using the timed shutter mode on the camera, then just play about with the lighting.

If people are finding that their flash is too bright, use a milk carton diffuser.
This is a super cheap way and pretty effective.
    1. Get a plastic see through milk carton, clean it, and cut a flat piece out.
    2. Either cut it to size and attach it in some way over the flash (blu tak is good) or simply cut a bigger piece so that you can hold it over the flash as you take the pic.
    3. Play around with layers. Double or even triple them for more diffusion.

Well done Cones i forgot that little jem of info, even a bit of tissue works well enough. Good tip for general flash photography tbh.

Milk carton? That's just fucking ingenious. Gonna finish my gallon of milk right now and get shootin'

The illegality of cannabis is outrageous, an impediment to full utilization of a drug which helps produce the serenity and insight, sensitivity and fellowship so desperately needed in this increasingly mad and dangerous world." - Carl Sagan

"I used to smoke marijuana. But I'll tell you something: I would only smoke it in the late evening. Oh, occasionally the early evening, but usually the late evening - or the mid-evening. Just the early evening, mid-evening and late evening. Occasionally, early afternoon, early mid-afternoon, or perhaps the late-mid-afternoon. Oh, sometimes the early-mid-late-early morning. . . . ...But never at dusk." - Steve Martin
