Keep it Sticky
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty, well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, thoroughly used, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming.. fuck, what a trip!

Keef Treez deserves the credit, he is the preacher. Thanks poet for bringing it to the masses.
The other thing to consider when defoliating is the setup your using you really need at least one 600W HPS anything else such as a CFLs 250HPS isnt going to reap the benefits unless perhaps you are scrogging but then you should already have read up on scrogging and be defoliating accordingly I guess

Got a 600 & 400, only really use the cfl for early veg after seedling, looking into a wilma drain to waste setup with a drip feed and res, plenty more reading to do first though, want to try coco too.
this is a very alien concept to me,i am a gardener and bonsai grower.in bonsai we use defoliation to reduce the size of the leaves on some trees that would be unsuitable otherwise.this in trees can only be done if the tree is super fit.and even then it can weaken the plant badly.in my horticulture career i took to the books and got nvq so think i have a handle on most practices(not meant to sound clever or smart honest)but the benefits of the large leaf or fan leaves surly is there size and light-nutes uptake the only time from what i been taught to remove leaves is damage-sickness or infestations of bugs.the energy these make will in the end result be your bud.also in a plant infamous for the hermie why stress and risk the damage? maybe i missing something here but any real benifits? convinced?
