Doc Brown's Bubblehash Mini Guide/Diary

Ingredients:

Bubblebags:

Purple = 25 Micron
Yellow = 73 Micron
Green = 120 Micron
Red = 160 Micron
Blue = 220 Micron

TRIM (Approx 20g)
WATER
ICE
Stirring Spoon
Bucket/Container

Step 1 - ive lined the bags and put em in a bucket - ice and water in the bottom to fully cover the screens:

Step 2 - Fill the bags in layers - ice then trim then ice then trim and so on:

Step 3 - Stir for a good 30 mins... 15 will do if you have 5 gallon bags and a cement mixer (be careful).
Youll see froth develop on the surface.

Now we wait... rule of the thumb is 30-45 mins as we wait for the trichs to sink.... this time around im going to leave it until the majority of the ice is melted, or at least a good portion of it.....

Next steps - we drain, we dry, we press.... ill go into all that but for now im waiting for it all to settle. More pics coming later...

Its a very simple process and in my opinion beats shaking through a silk screen for hours... id rather stor for half an hour any day...

Ps if you can afford it - get 5 gallon bags - 1 gallon bags make is messier and harder work than it needs to be...

Ok so its been a couple of hours - alot of the ice has melted so its draining time...
So, we start taking the bags out and draining, starting with the highest micron which is in this case the blue (220)... once drained i run a little water through it into the remaining bags, just to rinse any left over trichs into the remainders...

Whats left in the 220 (Blue) is all the crap as i said - once drained, bin it... same goes for the 160, i mean you could smoke it but its just not nice..

As you get to draining the 120 (Green) youll start to see what looks like hash at the bottom but as you can see its pretty green and leafy looking - its not the bubblehash were looking for... and there wont be much - so again ive binned it...

Now... we continue draining - next up is the 73 micron (yellow)

So, we drain the 73... as you get to the bottom, youll start to see froth and brown matter - THIS is the BUBBLEHASH..... 73 micron is keeper stuff... as youre left with the hash, pop the bag in the sense, move it around a little and youll see the hash gather itself together and start to look like this:

Now you can gather it out (I use a spoon) and lay it out onto some 25 micron pressing screen which is on some kitchen roll or a towel. You can also turn the bag inside out when done just to get any excess bits.

Now, fold the screen over in half so that the hash is covered, fold the kitchen towel onto that and then press hard onto the hash to suck in all the moisture.... open it up, crumble the hash and repeat the process.

Now if youve not been clumsy (like I have) youll have a leaf matter free lump of beutiful bubble hash... like this but smoother:

Now onto the final bag for the super quality bubblehash

Draining the final bag will take AGES - do not rush it... this is fine quality hash you are making, the stuff you cant just go to a dealer and buy... so take the time... drain the bag, moving it around as you do it to keep the flow going... as it empties it will literally be a drip at a time - it WILL take time.... i hang the bag over a bucket and leave it - ill return every 5 mins to gently shake, pop the bag to move the hash round , giving the water chance to drain - be careful and dont rush it.

Once drained, we repeat the process... ill get some pics up when its ready...

A quick mid draining note - as you can see with my hash - there is a greeny tint... this will go a little as it dries but I can easily say that to stop this 1) dont scrimp on the bags.... (ill be upgrading before my next lot) and 2) get 5 gal bags so that you can have room to work the mix.... this will make the process easier and the end product much better!

Well all done now - 20g of average trim is now 1.1g of stunning smelling and stunning tasting bubblehash with a SOARING high!

Hey Upton - you gave them bags a go yet? Im down to my last 2 Js of the stuff lol made it last though - soooo worth the hard work.... Loved the stuff that much i, half tempted to dedicate a couple of oz of prime bud to add in the trim this time round

Good times - one thing im doing next time which i didnt think off - attach a wooden spoon to a drill for stirring.. If only id thought about this before... lol.

FYI on the above, one lot i dried and tried and the other bits i wrapped in cling film, microwaved for 10 secs, rolled then did the same again and left in the fridge for a bit.... the latter gave me best results but man you are in for a treat

Job done. I didn't get anything from the first few bags but got around a gram from the 73 micron bag and 3 grams from the 25 micron bag. Happy days

Awesome mate - yeah i just kept the 73 and 25.... was stunning. although next time ill mix them together before pressing as each was as good as the other . Let me know what you think of the smoke dude - chuffed you got a full gram out of it!
