Thread: supercropping vs. STRANGLING

  1. Default

Why not use very thin but strong wire, wrap it around the trunk/branches loosely (like you would a bonzai tree) and allow the plant to absorb the wire into itself, giving your branches super support (like steel beams in a sky scraper), no need for netting to hold them buds! Hehe. If the whole plant swelled up too instead of cutting off it's circulation, would be a beast hehe.

but yes, in theory you are cutting off the plants water supply, the cambium layer of a plant is rarely even 0.1 of a mm, it does not take alot of damage and this is a methodvandils use to distroy trees, the knuckle may look like its "bigger and stronger" than the previous vascular system but that growth is energy the plant had to waste to save its branch from strangelation, there is a change if left the growth will be able to grow around the wire/string and create a new cambium connection to the branch before it dies, but there also a chance it wont and the branch will die before repairs are done...

If however, the plant was healthly, you had nice air flow and weight on your branches, they would put on all around growth along the entire branch, rather than just the knuckle, but you never notice this benefit as it is normal, without damage being done.

But thats woody plants, trees ect, who the hell knows with cannbis! Its a magical plant and it does not do whats always expected of it!

So, what we need now yuou lot is a time machine, once done, we go back and stop the damage, and compair results :P

Them plastic ties as i see it, are making a nice easy flow for the plant to suck up more fluid like adding an extra pump if you will....making the restriction larger maybe an idea!

I left a tie down wire on the main branch and knuckles formed either side, removed now with no ill effects here even after supercroping!

Why not have the best of both worlds and just loosely tie some garden string or whatever around the branches in question and pull them down to the desired position, this way nothing is harmed, you just have an opened up plant that allows you to lower the light nearer to the more budsites that are on show.
    Imnice
