Default Exploring the Possibilities of LED Lighting

    Hi Everyone,

So i recently joined this forum and the first thread i posted resulted in a lot of knowledge gained so i would like to touch on another topic.

I remember looking at LED grow lights a few years ago but back then the price you would pay for them did not match up to the efficiency savings and the yield produced so i have kind of put them on the back burner for a little bit. I am now looking to re-explore the possibility of switching to LED lighting and wondered if anyone had previously used some that they would recommend.

For the sake of argument lets say i am constructing a 3metre long by 1metre wide screen for the SCROG method. i would normally put 3no 600w hps over this each with a 1metre parabolic shade and electric ballast.

Would appreciate it if people could reply with an alternative to the 3no 600w for use in this same space.

All inputs and opinions are welcome and invited!

    Regards
    Rigos

    So,

I did a bit of digging myself online and found the KINGBO range of LED's (1000,1500,2000 watt) versions. Has anyone ever used these? any feedback would be appreciated.

    Regards
    Rigos

Hi mate have you had a look at the forum sponsors website. Invisiblesunleduk?

I'm not sure where you are based.

Kingbo are real low budget options and i wouldn't recommend them

I'm nearing the end of the grow so I will make full review once I've sampled the fruit.

But a million times better than Kingbo for sure

    Hi Gardro,

Just out of curiosity, have you had personal experience with the Kingbo lights that you could share with me?

Not directly but that generation of light are similar to Mars Hydro et al and don't offer much innovation.

It will work but the efficiency is poor so you may as well go for HPS!

    Guys,

Thanks for both your responses, il give the kingbo a swerve and have a look at the invisible sun range. Has anyone had any knowledge on the platinum ones, the P900 for example?

    Regards
    Rigos
