    Default Extraction advice needed please

Hi talkers, getting ready for my next grow and i'm changing from a 4" extraction unit to a 6" kit, the kit comprises of Rhino pro 6" A1 150mm x 300mm filter, Black orchid hybrid flo 6" Extraction fan, sono acoustic ducting, my grow room is 1m x 1.30 x 1.80 do you guys think this system will be ok for my size of room, i intend growing 3 Gorilla glue #4 X WW, my budget is £150 so if anyone can think of anything better at that price i'm all ears, i also intend to use my old 4" fan and filter to pump fresh air into the bottom of my grow room, another question if you don't mind is, i will be adding a parabolic reflector to my light my groom is actually 1,08m and not 1m so will the 1m reflector be to large ???, I will be using a T5 4 tube first then a 400W MH then maybe 600W MH and onto a 600W HPS for flowering, thanks in anticipation guys, G'.

Not sure about those mixed flow fans fatha mate.
RVK centrifugal style will pack more punch when needed.

I have that rhino fan mate. I'm in 1.2 x 1.2, I used to use the 300mm filter but it just didn't have enough surface area to pull what I needed in my shed it also made the fan noisy because of the extra work it needed to do. I now use an 8" 600mm filter with reducers to the 6" fan. It's almost silent and pulls with ease. I don't think my fan has been on full whack yet this summer. I am using led at the mo though.

I also have a 1mt parabolic I used on my last grow and it worked fine for me in 1.2 x 1.2.

I know the large filter costs more and takes up more room but you will reap the benefits I promise. Plus you can will last longer as it won't be on full pelt all day. Even just the 6" 600mm would make a huge difference.

Cheers guys, buying separately is maybe gonna work out more expensive and i'm not o sure what the A1 and L1 in the descriptions mean, i reckon i could budget an RVK 6" fan and a Rhino 6" pro filter L1 150/600mm, not sure which fan would actually go with the filter though, this is the 6" description/
    Systemair RVK 6 Inch A1 6 Inch (150mm) LOW 428m3/hr 40.6
    Systemair RVK 6 Inch L1 6 Inch (150mm) HIGH 720m3/hr 44.8

i'm far from understanding electrical jargon so it's pretty much French to me so would be grateful if you guys could point me in the right direction here, thanks guys.

M3/hr means meters cubed per hour.

The 428m3/hr will clear a cubed metre 438 times an hour. Not enough really mate.

The 720m3/hr will be much better.

Also as you add the ducting and filter that power reduces dramatically.

I see if I can find a good kit on the bay for you buddy, give me 10 mins😉

L1 is high torque motor so shifts nearly double the air. They are better for carbon filters

I've found this little set for £130.
    900m3/hr 150mm fan
    150 x 600 filter
    5mts standard ducting.

It's not a rhino filter though, I don't know.much about that filter but I'm sure we can find some reviews.

I just spoke to a mate of mine who runs a grow shop. He said he can't stop selling them the last 18 months. He also said the same kit from him would cost you £210. He said it's a bargain😉

Holy shit Iron mate i've been trolling Ebay for hours mukka it's had my head battered and you come up with this diamond in minutes and it's now in my Ebay basket ready to click "buy it now" first thing in the morning when my moolar goes into the bank, can't thank you enough Iron mate and that goes to all you guys "sincere thanks", regards the reflector i think i may have to go for the 800mm as the 1000mm would only be around 30mm from my back wall and front doors of my groom don't know if that would be a problem, thanks again guys, all the best, G'.

No probs matey, it's hard to see what's good and what's not on eBay that's for sure.

You'll have to let us know what you think when it arrives. Apparently that filter has the same carbon in side as a rhino pro anyway. Virgin active apparently lol.

Actually I've changed my mind about my parabolic. If I had bigger gaps around the shade the air movement would be much better. 80cm ftw😉
