I made 1 litre of solution at 30 ppm using 27 volts from three linked 9 volt batteries, it took around 4 hours if I remember correctly. The water was from a 5 litre container of de-ionised water for car battery top up.
The crocodile terminals were cheapos from eBay.
You can reduce time required by making less solution. a quarter litre would be plenty to reverse sex of a feminised plant.

I hope this all made sense, feel free to pm me if you want more info.
That's absolutely spot on mate. Since my post I've done a lil digging. You say 30 ppm was strong enough?

I've got all the bits you mentioned on order already but was planning to run low voltage for much longer ie around 6v for 48-60 hours in the hopes of around 50-60 ppm but much smaller more viable particles.

Would you know anything about how long you can keep a solution?

So where do regular seeds come from then?
He started with 2 auto fems. He forced one to switch genders. So these seeds essentially only have X chromosomes (I dont know if plants have x chromosomes just bear with me) but the seeds got no Male genetics from anywhere, so there is a 100% chance of female seeds. The silver spray he used confused a female plant into producing male sex organs

This I'm very curious about as well, I often see on websites that a certain autoflower was made by crossing whatever strain they wanted to become auto with an autoflower that they really liked the traits off as well. Does that mean that crossing a photo period with an autoflower automatically becomes an autoflower or is there a whole trajectory of careful selection following after that as well to get a stable autoflower?

In other words is the autoflowering trait dominant or recessive or how does it work exactly?
