since i finally got my old diary out of the way i thought i'd show you guys what i'm up to now.
this will be my first guerilla adventure and i'm looking forward to getting out and about this season, i'm a bit behind schedule since i've only got one grow space and my last plants just wouldn't finish!!
the plan: i've got 4-5 general areas to work with including 2 definite sites all about a half an hour to an hour walk from my house... i pretty much live in the middle of nowhere. as well as collaborating with a friends grow which i'll include in this diary... he really does live smack bang in the middle of nowhere and has some great sites. he is waiting on a couple of clones rooting and i'll be adding to the stash. site pics will have to wait till later in the week.
strains: right now i have 3 mother plants(from fem seeds... i know this isn't the best way of snapping up good genetics but i'm a cheapskate!), they're still a good month off being ready to clone though (hence the behind schedule part) pics below, they are g13 labs durban poison, barney's LSD and barney's amnesia lemon. i did have a blue cheese but it didn't germ:( also right now i have a couple of baby auto ak47s, i'm germing 6 purple satins and 6 superlime autos... next to germ will be 5 mazar-i-sharif and maybe some blue sharks.

you may notice a couple of burns in these pics, it's weird... i started them in bio-bizz allmix with 20% vermiculite and 20% rock dust just like my last grow and i was fine then? anyway, i flushed them once and they're totally fine now. weird.
i'm going to keep a couple of clones for something to do indoors as well. that'll give me a chance to try these strains out before harvest season:)
wish me luck cause i'll probably need it:laugh: and any tips, pointers or criticisms are more than welcome. cheers:mr:

so after seeing that video that black.lung posted yesterday about an alternative cloning technique i decided i wanted to try it. it may not be new but it's new to me:)
anyway, i fancied getting a bit of practice before trying it on mj so today i gave it a wee bash on one of my chili plants. here's a couple of pics...

i took this stem and gave it a trim. i then used a scalpel to make a couple of extra little gashes and scraped some of the bark off.

i cut a rockwool cube down one side and gave it the ol soak n squeeze. i then gave the stem a generous smothering of clonex and used a plastic tie to keep it in place.

finally i wrapped the cube in tin foil, repeated the process and now it's the waiting game.

The nute strength of all mix is up and down like a yo-yo mate. Sometimes it's good, sometimes bad, sometimes you get both in the same sack.
Bio-Bizz soils are not the best anymore. You are better off using plagron batmix or some good all purpose compost with added john innes no.3

The cloning technique your trying is quite effective. I use to use it on my bonsais but instead of the rockwool cubes i used a kind of moss then wrapped the moss tightly in clingfilm to keep in moisture. It used to take ages but then they were woody branches. Do you keep your chillies with your weed? as ive just put some seeds in and am waiting for them to germ.

yeah the durban was a freebie, i noticed that they'd disappeared off the market while trying to look for some info on flowering time etc. don't suppose you could help there at all? did you do them inside or out?

hey greendog, you'll enjoy looking after your chillies, they're quite fun to grow. i started mine in my grow space but for some reason the flowers kept dying off even though i'd be pollinating them daily. maybe something to do with light cycle and temps? something else to note is they like high r/h... some chillies develop hygroscopic salt buildups on the underside of their leaves to catch moisture when humidity is too low. anyway, they live on my kitchen window now and they're doing great. do you think them being at my window will make the clones less likely to root? if so i may pop them back in with my weed for now.

Nice one Tay, air layering is an interesting technique, I reckon the method could easily take at least 2 maybe 3 weeks off a run, but I haven't seen anyone do it successfully on a grow forum. I'll be watching with interest, good luck with it.

howdy ho:p today i've been out enjoying this nice weather we're having. trecked about a mile up my local hill range, off the tracks and through the thick stuff:D found a couple of nice clearings in amongst the sticks and a couple of sites that have made it to my 'yes' list. if it's nice tomoro i think ill head out in the opposite direction to another one of my 'maybe' areas and see if i can find a couple more definite sites.
my camera died after like 2 shots so most of these are taken with mine & the missus' phones...
there's loads of stuff like this growing around the place, anyone know if this means the dirt is suited to weed or not?

site #1: may look a bit open but it's so far away from anything and is about 40° southern facing. only problem is getting up there often... it's quite tricky.

site #3: quite near site 2, this place gets pretty thick during the summer so i'll need to get the ol machette out;) you'll notice in the background that i have quite a big play area... there's about 10 miles of southern facing hill front around here, i'll need to write some notes or something to keep a good memory of the locations.

i chucked a bit of my soil mix down here... there's quite a few rocks in there but i could get down nice and deep with little effort

there were a few other 'maybe' spots along the way. it's quite a journey from my house but at least it's a nice scenic walk. so what do you guys think of these sites?
on an other note... so far 2 of 6 purple satins have sprouted. and to date thats a 0/8 germ rate from those superlime shiters that i got free. not too bothered about that. going to stick 4 blue shark and 5 mazar-i-sharif in the airing cupboard with my sun flower seeds in a minute.

yeah, it's levington with added john innes. seems your 3 75ltr for a tenner shits on my garden centers deal tho!! next on my list is another bag of perlite and some bat guano then i think i'll be pretty much sorted. do you use any liquid ferts at all or do you just rely on your soil mix? i've been using canna terra indoors for a while but i'm thinking i'd rather go completely organic outdoors.

i just cut the top off a 2ltr bottle and taped it onto the pot, slung it in my bag and i was off.

the ground wasn't as great as i was hoping... very rocky ontop. as well as that, the second i left the house it started pissing down so i got nice n muddy in the process. anyway, i dug nice n deep to get past the rocks then i realised i hadn't brought enough soil mix to fill the hole back to the top:laugh:. so i chucked some rocks ontop for now and i'll be heading up to pack a bit more in tomoro. i noticed about 100 slugs while i was up there too:jawdrop: hope the egg shells i scattered help, i'll probly take some copper wire with me tomoro.

btw i've not taken any pics yet but the air layering on the chillies was a nice big fail lol the stems suffered a bit of rot> no roots what so ever! here's a little excerpt from a pm i received from bonsaiman on the matter...
Anyway, just reading your ambition to air layer, something I do regularly with my little trees. This is a technique which only works on woody plants - they need to be woody on the inside as well as out, otherwise the moist, airtight compost will rot your stem
seems he got it spot on there. i wouldn't mind seeing more evidence of it working on mj if anyone has it but by the looks of things i'll be using the more traditional cloning technique in this diary.

As for slugs, as well as what other people've said, try cutting some beer cans in half and burying them beside your plants, leaving the tops exposed, then make a wee tent shape out of metal(rest of the can?) and stick it on top. Best slug trap i've ever used, they really like beer, until they get to it.. :satan:

Yeah beer like ectox said is the best for slugs they go crazy for the smell and leave the plants alone,
we lost one of ours to slugs eating it, so found by sinking an astray full of beer into the ground about 20cm away solved it, we caught 2 the first day it was there, and replace it evry 5 to 7 days.
weve had a little problem with deer and rabit so have had to build enclosures for them,

yeah.. bottles would seem obvious.. don't know why I've never thought of that before :D You'd have to make wee slug ramps up to the bottleneck though! still, keeps the rain out and if you covered it with some grass or something, it wouldn't evaporate either
i'm thinking, semi buried at an angle with the opening about ground level would be good. hope our wee plants appreciate all the effort we go through to stop them gettin eaten:laugh:

Tho.. Come to think of it.. Bottles wouldn't stop snails :D just slugs. It might just frustrate the snails, causing them to eat even more! :p

i've had shit hot fem ratios with these auto aks... not sure if i want to put this one outside, i wouldn't mind keeping this one indoors while i'm growing out my mothers for a wee summer smoke. but here's hoping the last one's a fem too so i can try 1 outdoors.

nice Tay, been a while since i looked in, been busy aint ya! beautiful country side you got there. For you slug problem you can pour a nice big ring of salt around your plants, they wont cross that but not sure if it would affect the plants as it dissolves into the soil. looking good mate.
alright greendog mate, aye i've been trying to get a lot of prep done... i left it a bit late, felt like i was rushing for a while but i'm starting to catch up:D
about the salt thing, i have to pass a golf course on my way to that site and they have a huge pile of bunker sand near the path that i'm thinking about dipping into:p i'm guessing that'll be alot safer than putting salt down and again> guessing, that slugs wouldn't like it:)

she went mental as a seedling. infact the tap root was a spiral to start with then after it'd been planted, the seed shell and the root came out of the dirt! anyway, i did my best to keep her growing upwards but it's quite tough. i don't think it'll do so well outdoors so i might just slap her about with some bondage and flower her in here. the other satin will be going out next and ak2 if it's a female(touch wood) will soon follow. after that it's LSD & AL cloning time.

cheers spliffy, all of my sites are on quite steep hills. i've heard your less likely to get bud rot and that later on. they're all south, south-east facing so they're getting plenty of light too:) ta for lookin in man.

i want to try some mazar-i-sharif outside but i'm not sure if i can be arsed pulling males when the time comes. does anyone use regular seeds outdoors and how much hassle is it come flowering time? i might just do some blue sharks and the AL & LSD clones an that'll be me:)

unfortunately the part of the update most of you will be looking for won't be included:( i got out to 2 of my sites the other day (i've got the sunburn to prove it haha) but it was after a pic nic and a wee drink, i had shorts on and the durban site is a 10 min walk through hip height bushes that are full of beasties (they were below knee height when i started!!) so only the satins are on show today.

bit of damage, hoping this one pulls through. took a piss on all the surrounding bushes and left some half empty beer cans lying around (i was quite drunk so thats as good as it gets lol) that'll hopefully keep the thing alive till i get back there with some home made bug spray. i've got some dave's insanity sauce and garlic kicking about so i'll brew some up before i head out next time.
in here the heat has been a bit of a neucense, first up we have the 2 satins... i have been a lazy ballbag recently and should really have got them outside by now:

as you can see they've got a bit of burn, the high temps coupled with the inevitable root-boundness has really stunted their growth. need to get them out this week.

quite happy with this plant, i'm most looking forward to trying this strain. i'm just wondering, with these high temps would my clones all wilt inside the prop? it's also getting on in the year and i'm getting impatient, almost to the point where i'm thinking of forgetting taking cuts and just re-potting and switching to 12/12. i wouldn't mind some advice on this one....

god this took a while!!! i'll be updating later in the week hopefully. my plans are, to get the other 2 satins outside and get some pics of the durban poison. i'm going to germ some seeds today: couple more satins, couple of blue sharks and a couple of lemon stinkies. need to pick up some more seedling soil for them tho:p

All looking good Tay, shame about the satin the got munched, the other seems to be doing okay though.
Regarding the cuts, the stems don't need to be thick for them too root and high temps aid rooting, so as long as your carefull not to let them dry out they'll be fine.

Bloody hell Tay, I've gone all metric now...erm 3/16"...about 4.5mm?.. no, maybe that's the ideal thickness but I've successfully rooted cuttings much thinner and I have seen fan leaves rooted at the base of the stem.
Cannabis just wants to grow.

alright greendog, i'm going to take some cuts on tuesday from the lsd and amnesia lemon (she's perked right up btw:)) ...take them outside and flower the mothers indoors. they'll be in with with one of the lemon stinkys that has just popped. one blue shark has popped so far too, i'll update on them when they've got some leaves.
i've got one ak left as i just got back from a new site and put out the younger one...

hey, went back to see how the ak was settling in today, there were a few brown patches and crusty bits already, not sure what it is but it's not very noticeable in the pics i took while i was there. kinda looks like nute burn:confused: i used the same soil that was in the pot... anyway, i'll go back in about a week and see how she's doing.

got a wee update for tonight... took 20 clones earlier (this is my first expedition into cloning so i'm not expecting great results. if otherwise, i'll just concentrate on the best ones for the diary;)) ...12 LSD and 8 Amnesia Lemon :D
as you'll see in a minute, my small space is very crowded... so much so that i couldn't even fit my 30x20cm prop so instead i decided to get a couple of these sow & grow 12x jiffy plug mini prop things. i didn't bet on how much they lack in height tho which means i've had to keep them quite short and a couple are touching the top. i hear you get much better results from larger props with more air space inside, what do you think my chances are of these taking root?
well here's what i did... (apologies for the lack of pics during... i was concentrating too much on the task:p)
i soaked the plugs last night in tap water with a drop of super thrive and sat them in the small props under my light for the night. when i opened them thismorning the air inside was nice n warm/humid as youd expect. so i got to work straight away. first i squeezed all the excess water out of the plugs and used the end of a thin paint brush to make holes half way into them. i then decided which stems i was going to take and trimmed all of the second node leaves off leaving 2 at the tip and one still on the plant. then snipped them off just below the trimmed node and put them in a bowl of water (i was trying to get them in the water a second or two after cutting it) ...once i had them all cut i snipped another cm off the stem at an angle while it was still under water ...gave it a generous dunk in clonex and gently pushed in the cut and squeezed the plug around the stem. lastly i gave them a spray with the lightest dilution of canna terra flores imagineable, sprayed the inside of the lid and closed it up. i used a couple of strips of cellotape to hold the tops on cause they're not very sturdy and bend when handling them. then repeated.

couple of questions if you don't mind;) how often should i open them and spray them? i don't want to open them too often to keep the humidity in (i hear they prefer taking water from the humid air rather than spraying the leaves??) but at the same time i don't want to let them dry out. will i ever need to water the plugs or will they stay moist enough for the whole time they are in there? lastly, is there anything i've done wrong or that? criticisms encouraged!

it's the only 1 of 3 mazar-i-sharif that popped and it's now in a jiffy plug in the prop with the amnesia cuts. lets hope it's a girl cause i really wanted to dedicate a whole plant to making hash and i'd have liked it to be the pure afghan one:) if not, the lsd is mazar x skunk so it'll have to do;)

hey Tay your grow and clones are looking great but the bottle the blueshark is in is no good, roots hate being in the light. i had 15 seedlings in see through cups and when they grew up abit any of their roots that were on the sides turned into brown mush, i think your best bet is to paint the bottle a dark color or repot it (i bought the same size cups in styrofoam and then placed the plastic ones in it, but im sure thats not gunna work for you as your using a 1ltr)

You should do what I do when I go fishing, if i'm wondering in the countryside looking for likely spots on rivers to try. I always carry a couple of black bin bags and a roll of thick/wide tape just incase I've got to go through tall grass and bushes etc. Simply wrap the bags around your legs and tape them up to make leggins - might look a bit odd/stupid, but works for me.

As I wear leather army boots when fishing I just tape the bags to the top of my boots. Came up with the idea after finding a tick attached to my leg one day after returning from fishing (9 years ago), only happened the once I can tell you!
You're right though, you don't think about things like that happening, as a kid not once did I ever see, let alone get a tick when playing in any of my local fields or woods (some 30+ years ago). So better to be safe than sorry hey mate?

well i found a nice site for the satins, it's at the back corner of an old disused field. there were a few compost heaps that looked like they'd been rotting away for years and had giant uniform nettle bushes... good dirt and good cover:) in fact i didn't even bother laying my soil mix down, just mixed some blood & bone and rock dust into the side of the compost heap.

they've got copper wire wrapped round the stem and first couple of nodes then some mashed into the ground at the base. then i emptied a baggie full of the missus' hair around and took a nice wee sprinkle:p:pee:
i'm hoping these will do well as the site seems pretty good. (as well as being a nice flat walk rather than half way up a hill!!) just hoping the field doesn't turn into a swamp come harvest time:p
funny thing to add as well; when we were walking there we stopped off at this little bit with a couple of pic nic benches, puffing our fags, complaining about having no weed when i glanced at my feet and found just under a q of solid lying in the grass!! duno how long it'd been there for but as far as soap goes it was legible:bigjoint: i don't usually buy the stuff but it's ok when it's free! so i quickly fashioned my can of monster into a pipe and the whole trip was made a bit more enjoyable:D

yeah, this is my fav site so far. it's really cool, there's a big semi ruined stone bridge that you need to climb up then through a bit of forestry and it's like a wee secret garden. i'm probably going to put a few more plants in the general area.

5 of my clones are showing roots through the jiffy plugs:D (4 lsd, 1 al) some of them are quite long... i'm worrying about cutting the netting off of the plugs incase i damage the roots. they seem to be growing through the netting fine atm, has anyone just left it on when potting them into the dirt?

@dekay: the stinkys were a gift and are from a clone that grew a couple of nanners so that one will most likely be a chick with a couple of dicks:laugh: i germed 2 but one of them took 3 days to loose it's shell and inside was yellow and deformed... it didn't make it:(

They more often than not react very well to topping, although the last one my cousin grew (in a greenhouse, many moons ago) wasn't topped and was just over 6 foot tall, and yes it did have to be supported during flowering.
It is looking exceptionally green & healthy from what I can see Tay, and I think you'll be growing them again once you've harvested from it!
Dig the leggings matey, very fetching. :laugh: Shame about the Satin though!

edit: couldnt really see in the vid but have you got copper wire round it's stem? also putting up a wee cage or some sticks around it's base wouldn't go amiss either, especially if it's near the PS that got chomped.. the last thing you want now is for that thing to get munched!

@steptoe: it's a g13 labs dp which seems to have been discontinued so no luck there. there's a few other seed co's that do durban as well tho so any recommendations? i may well top her next time i go out.
'tox: there's no copper or cage at that site... just the slug trap. i think though, there's a spiders nest in the rocks around the plant. y'know the fast mofos with the white markings that jump about rocks? well there's hundreds of the f*ckers, maybe they're keepin the rodents away? duno but anyway, i think if it was going to get munched it'd be gone by now.
i've not got plans today, was thinking about going to see the last 2 satins and maybe take the blue shark along with me and find a nice spot somewhere near by. so maybe another update later on.

she looks like she'll be done in a week or two:) already had a tester, dried for 4 days and it was lovely. much more dank and musky than the last two that i did. she's noticeably stalkier as well. the 2 i did before were in a 12/12 environment where as most of this one's life has been under 24hrs of light. (now 18/6 since the clones are all rooted up)
well thats all for now, next update will probably have these clones going out. think i'll top them before i do and hopefully they'll all turn into nice little bushes:) cheerios.

An effective method of detering cats and dogs from the garden, (I know it's says cats & dogs, but might work on other critters too, don't you think?). Repellent works by confusing the animals sense of taste and smell. 2x50g sachet treats 32 sq metres.

NEither of my auto am x lowrryder2 made it outdoors either. They got munched by somehng small enough to get through the fence but without leaving any signs. Nevermind you've go the right idea string as many plants and ones outdoors as possible as none of us can really say how mnay well actually harvesting at the end of the season.

sorry if i little off topic but.....
those strawberries are the true Strawberry, they are either Fragaria vesca (wild strawberry) or Potentilla sterilis (barren strawberry) and are usually found to be the earliest fruiting verieties starting from as early as June right uptill Aug.
you can tell which type they are by the leaves.
Those of the Barren Strawberry are a much darker green, the hairs on the underside of the leaf stick out where the hairs on the wild stawberries leaves are flattened and, and the terminal tooth of the Barren Strawberry's leaf are shorter than those aside it, where as in the true wild Strawberry the tooth is as long as or longer than the rest.

Only recently joined, been lurin all eve and evaluating my latest ak47 and a few guinnesses with great pleasaure - have read this thread from the start - kudos to you mate!!
if you want to keep just about any beasties away use moth balls - you can still get them - keep them well away from yr plants tho - a good 6 ft should do, rose stem prunings and/or dried holly leaves scattered around yr planys willl help too

hapnin dekay, i didn't really have my plan cut out or that. the main obstacle i've been working around is space limitations. the stinky got 6 weeks veg, rootbound in a 5" pot. nutes every watering were probably the only thing keeping it alive. it was maybe the size of a 3 week old plant given the proper care before the re-pot and 12/12 switch. the lsd and al got between 10>11 weeks of veg (bearing in mind they were decimated for cuttings) and were equally rootbound. having 13 clones trying to share the same space was never going to help, i really bit off more than i could chew this time around. getting rid of some of the clones freed up enough space for the re-potting and soon enough i'll be back to having 3 plants inside (not including the little lsd runt that we're keeping for the novelty) which will be a lot more manageable. saying that, the lsd is now growing more than an inch a day width & height wise so it's not going to be 100% plain sailing from here:p
think i'm going to take it easy next time around, i've got quite a lot of regular sativa seeds i want to try so i'm going to go for a wee mix up... strains you'll be seeing next will be: flo x wreck #1 , malonica f1, super silver haze f2 along with lemon stinky again & blueberry or/and blueberry x great white shark. i might just pop one of each and see what i get, i never play it like that:laugh:

alright toe, (strange calling you that as it's been my nickname for about 10 years :laugh:) my light's off right now so i'll get the measuring tape out in the morning, i'm guessing it's about a foot and a half - 2ft square, maybe not as big as it looks in the pics. not including the 12 cuts i took, it's been fimmed and topped about 8 times. think there's about 16 tops on the canopy.
yeah, i know i'm keeping everyone in suspense with the durban haha myself included, i'll venture into the sticks reet soon just for you mate:) and nah, i didn't top it, i'm still trying to decide whether i should or not, what d'you think?

I was just curious about the height of the LSD as I've got some myself, 2 to grow and 1 I'm going to cross with a Durban Poison for seeds, should be an interesting cross I think.
Personally I wouldn't top the D.P, yes it might look nice, but I can't help but feel it would affect the yield.
Indoors is lookin awesome for ya m8!

gangjamin: not quite there yet, it's got tons of early preflowers but no hairs yet. it's officially day one of flowering for the amnesia though, white hairs have shown on a few sights.
i just realized i forgot to update the harvested ak, i took a pic or two so i'll put them up later. wee query here: how will the clones react to going outside since they are now starting to flower? how many hours of light are we getting just now?

I've been plagued with slugs myself, I even found one sitting half way up one of my plants today.
Bloody thing was getting itself right at home.

so it's outdoor update time:) i went out late lastnight to see what the satins and blue shark were up to and i'm just back from going to see the durban.

the smaller one took me ages to find strangely. when i eventually did, i found it was being raped by 'galium asprellum' aka sticky willies. never noticed how much of an aggressive plant they are, they were wrapped around every stem of the poor satin. restricting it's growth, bending it and even ripping fan leaves off. it was really hard to cut the plant out. aswell as that they were creating nice easy paths for beasties to get to my plants. next time i'm going to go during the day and remove all of that shit with a machete:p
i took this box with 2 clones along with me lastnight but never got around to planting them. i'll need to think of a new spot. the dirt in that area must be hella rich, everything has trippled in size in about a month! i couldn't even get to the dirt!

a little more beastie damage than last time. going to cook up some bug spray for my next visit. it's only about a foot taller than my last visit but the side growth is starting to catch up. hopefully we get a nice load of sun again soon.

Satisfying to see :) Wonder when they will be ready for harvest, like october sometime.. and they can get dobule the size during bloom, indoors anyways.. so that durban has a long way to grow i imagine, it's gonna be a monster (already is...)!!! i noticed one lonely male flower on my lemon stinky which i carefully removed and there was a nice amount off pollen inside, so i decided to lightly brush it onto the main cola of the little amnesia lemon clone and hopefully i'll get a few seeds. right now it's isolated in my little makeshift cloning chamber along with my mini-prop containing 2 diesel clones that i got from a mate today. good times.

D: the one male flower i found was quite mature and he defo had no mates kicking about but it's had one last spray of 'reverse' (2 in total) so i'm pretty confident the stinky will be pure sensi:)

Aha someone using reverse, do you use the other thats spose to go with it too, cant remember what its called, and had u used it before the balls appeared?
nah i never bought that penetrator shit, wasn't up for spending 15 quid for a litre and only use tiny amounts at a time. the way it's ment to work is you use undiluted reverse and add 10ml of of penetrator per litre. i'm only using about 100ml of reverse at a time so that's only 1ml of penetrator:confused: fk that! i bought a 3 quid bottle of growth tech wetting agent instead and it seems to work fine... the pollen sack i found was well low down the plant i maybe just never sprayed enough there. i've used it twice before and it seems to do the job.

thanks monty mate, glad you like. yeah the site is great for the plant but not so much for me... every time i go to see her i have to wear black bag leggings and tuck in all my clothes followed by a bath as soon as i get in:( there's too many beasties especially cause of how over grown the area gets (didn't do much site finding till early spring> silly me) but yeah i'm surviving and more importantly so is the plant so prepping for next year is defo on my list:)

cheers for those kind words shaneag:D the little clone station was just a 2 second job... being honest i'm not 100% sure what to do with the cuts once rooted, the rest of my plants are coming on 3 weeks into flower and putting them in will just lengthen the amount of time the room's on 12/12 stopping me from flying into my next grow (which i'm hoping to get done for christmas). at the same time i have nowhere big enough to veg them till the others are done. i'm sure i'll think of something though:p

evening all, i was just giving my plants a wee routine feed in the rubbin tub and couldn't help snapping a few pics:) thought i'd share them since i'm not up to much.
the room has been on 12/12 for 4 weeks and two days, they all started showing white hairs within a week so they're all about 3 weeks into flowering. i put 2ml pk13/14 in with the usual 2ml terra flores and 2ml topmax. i put a little pinch of epsom salts in this time too. i found if you sprinkle them into your nute solution before you fill it up with water they dissolve fine.

there was actually a little accident with the lsd last week that i forgot to mention, she's been topped about 8 times... one of the branches with 4 tops was a little bit floppy and hung off the side of the plant a bit, well it got snagged on the side of my grow space when i was moving it and it tore leaving a tiny bit of damage on the main stem. rather than trying to heal the torn branch i just snipped it off, it was only in week 1-2 of flower so i'm sure it'll bounce back fine. it was a bit of a gimpy branch anyway:p

the main difference between the amnesia and the stinky is the way the buds form, the amnesia has thousands of smaller thiner pistils where has the stinky's are a lot longer & fatter... you can tell the calyxes will be chunkier on the stinky. both have great pungent skunky smells where as the LSD is a bit softer and fruity. can't decide on what i want to smoke more:bigjoint: can't wait to try them all.

hey rutribal, it's cool:p i've been using the same single red spec 200w cfl since my first grow. i've never used blue spectrum light to veg once! i doubt i'll ever upgrade to be honest... keep it small inside and there's the whole outdoors too so:)

Man, they're looking tidy off a 200w CFL! I'm thinking of using one of those double CFL holder reflector hoods for my veg room soon as I can get my grow on properly.. Packin' about 600w or so in a small enough space should be interesting.. Never properly used them before.. But after seeing how the reds handle flowering recently I'm definately getting that hood :)
But aye, them's some packin' nugs :leaf: the next few weeks are going to do crazy things to that LSD :D well, all of them.. but that thing's like medusa..

i really wanted to get out and see the purple satins tomoro but it's not looking likely, the field they are in gets quite boggy in the wet and check this weather report image (it's a screenshot from my iphone... edinburgh is the closest place to me it can find!)
