Has anyone got any nice little tricks they use to make the weekly empty and refill that bit easier?

Thanks

I use a water pump to empty out 90% of the res and then scoop out the rest with a small plastic jug.

If you have the green tube water level pipe just bend that down lower than the bucket. Will drain down to the connection and a little tilt to the side gets 95% of it out.

I just use the pump, have fitted the diy taps before as well.

I lift lid and plant off, place in a empty bucket then empty, wash and refill.

When i am only doing one plant i just get the new res sorted and swap the plant over

You want to make a simple RDWC like i just have

Or

Use a water pump

drill a hole in the side/lid and feed in some 13mm pipe and then attach that to a funnel , fill up from there

I'm goin to buy two, 5 gallon buckets. When one needs switched, just have the other one with the controlled ph and swap. I feel like it's easier.

I put water cooler faucets on mine. Makes things pretty easy

This works till you get a lot of roots then you tear them if you try to move them
