ph'd tap water at 6.5 run off is 5.5 with leaf problems just starting

hi all got some ak48 growing in plant magic plus soil,there 4 weeks today 12/12 from seed and have noticed some rusty spots and yellowing of leaves at the lowers and some seem crispy at the ends. the have had 2 feeds 1/2 mill biobizz grow and bloom combo so pretty sure not over feeding,i am setting the ph at 6.5 from my tap water, and gave a dose of epsom salts last night and at the same time decided to check my run off for the first time and its at 5.5 this is too low am i right ? and guessing this is causing my problems any ideas on what i need to do to sort it out, this is my second grow but first time growing anything other than auto flower plants any advise welcome cheers

Any pictures? Dont worry about ph,it should be buffering itself in plant magic,and why adding epsom salts at this stage? They are only for mg def,at a guess Id say they might need a little more feed at 4 weeks of flower,but thats a guess mate,stick a picture up.

i,d be concerned about ph as the soil is,nt buffering ut if its coming out at 5.5, no point in adding salts as they won,t take them up with your ph being out of range for mg, 6.4 for mg , so all,s that will happen is you,ll end up with a salt build up, try flushing them with a ph of around 6.8 until you get a runoff above 6.4

Cheers for info will get a pic on at lights on tonight I added the salts as I thought it maybe an mg def as I had with my autos but I am now thinking it was due to ph issues as I am having the same probs all over again am I ok to flush still even though I only watered last night as said will get these pics on later for you to see thanks again berg

right got some pics and done the flush top growth seems fine but bottom has got worse over night hopefully the pics work

Top growth is good thats the main.. the bottom won't ever get better, its the new growth you need you eye on..

Hey buddy, I've had this same exact issue. (with the leaves and runoff ph)

Start by flushing your plants with at least 5 gallons of Ph'd 6.5 water through it, see what the runoff is after that. if it's still low, you'll need to add some dolomite lime to raise it but you're gonna have to figure out how much you'll need for your size pot first. i had to add two and a half cups to my five gallon buckets. after you add the lime, run more ph'd 6.5 water through it and see where it's at and just go from there. I got my soil ph at 6.5 bang on.

one thing i wish these soil companies would do is tell you the exact ph of their dirt.. (you should try that actually, take a handful of fresh dirt put it in a bowl and mix in some DISTILLED water, and then stick your ph pen in the mud - that's your exact soil ph)

if he doesn't fix this problem all his leaves starting from the bottom will die and it'll just continue all the way up his plants. was happening to me.

cheers ph on 2 of the plants is still a little low put around 25l thru each pot last night (what a ball ache that was lol not good especially when knocking the water container all over yourself and the floor :( i have got some dolomite lime and going to have a go at that seems to be what most reccomend thanks again for the advise great site this is
