Topping autos yes/no ???

I HAVE TOPPED THE ONES I USED TO HAVE, ONCE AT THE START THEN AGAIN WHEN THEY HIT THE SCROG.

Generally when do they being their flower? I'm no expert but it seems to me that topping them after 3 weeks seems mighty risky.
