150 watt HPS !!!

Ok yall so I've been feeling like I'm the one an only person using a 150 watt lamp lol I mean technically I'm using 300 watts considering that I have to sunsytems, but what I'm making this thread for Is to see other people's grooms and their ladies under this lamp as well. I feel like I do great with what I use which is only

1 box fan on low setting
2x 150 watt hps sun system ....

Yeah that's all I use electrically anyways. Fox farm products acrossed the board. Soil and nutes are All FF and all my grows have been over an ounce and my last one was 2.5 ounces I think it was. I got alittle over 90. Grams dried using onky one 150 watt but now I've got 2 ^-^ so

And this is my last harvest that I'm still curing a total of 45 grams I think it was not to mention it was an autoflower done by kannabia seeds.

250w hps here chap i got just shy of 2.5oz from x3 fast and vast that were taken down a tad early on my part + they had a bad start lool

Normally I have 3 to 4 flowering 2 at a time and I get about 2 ounces each plant sometimes more per plant just a smidgen more nothing to crazy lol to me it's a massive amount of bud lol

I think 150w HPS lamps are seriously under rated. On lower wattage grows too many people immediately opt for CFL. Gimme a 150w HPS over a 300w CFL any day of the week!

Totally agree mate. Even a 70w HPS will out-perform most CFL's... and some LED's.

Hell yeah I under estimated my lamp TOTALLY I kept being told it's not worth the energy use and blah blah blah well.. according tk the calculation from the sites that have energy consumption calculator and how much it's going to cost u calculators according to that formula used here as well my lights both 150 ways at 18 a day raises my bill supposedly onky 10 bux.. switched to 12 a day it comes down to 5 maybe 7 dollars. I'm not sure that's right but what I'm told. The formulas in my grow journal. But with onky that little bit amount used and what j get in return it's a full on profit for me my husband and our friends so my grow LITERALLY pays for itself. I'm VERY happy with my hps.lol even though my stupid as fuck hydro guys assistant kept me and my husband there almost and hour trying to force us to buy a MH for FLOWERING said they don't need the hps plus they don't do very will compared to these here showed me a 1200 dollar LED looking light that was bugged then I am trying to sell me that stupid thing mmmm... na I'm good per shut up take my money for WHAT I CAME FOR and get out of my way lol

They make 7p watt hps?! OH and I discovered something this morning on my walk the street lamps that line the under side of the train bridges and some streets are hps lights!! Lol looks juts like mine but bigger hood different color ^_^

Hey hey hey now!! They maybe the devil but my first grow onky used 125 watts and got 32 grams dried off a 19 inch bagseed ^_^ but yeah ... they Suck pretty horribly. But my seedling kow love the light so much for a week now they haven't relaxed their leaves not once ^_^ j can't effing wait to flower these bad boys out Putting my purple fruit basket into flower today or tomorrow actually ^_^

They're good to get people up and running whilst keeping the cost down... but also consider getting rid of the CFLs as a first upgrade to the groom :)

I used to do scrogs until I discovered mainlining or manifolding as some prefer to call it. Now my grows are easy to control and don't need the screen. All colas are pretty uniform and it's much quicker at harvest time. It does add time to vegging though but yield is better too.

Space constraints... Looking at the above the poster doesn't have a lot of room left once everything is in full swing.. Plus 150 say over 600w is a lot easier to cool.
