Does everyone have a favourite style or brand of grinder?

I have only been back smoking weed for a few months after probably 10 years off it. I bought myself a metal one which sounded good but think it grinds to fine for putting in joints. It was a long time ago but if my memory serves me right my cheap old plastic one I bought from the market years ago did a better job (unfortunately I threw it out when I thought I wouldn’t need it ).

Edit: I have just ordered a vape which I’ve never used before but would you recommend a different grinder for a vape compared to someone using for joints?

Bought a Headchef Hexellance grinder & stash tin about 4 years ago...grinder is awesome, copes well with the abuse on site, has been run over...dropped from scaffolding...buried in concrete :) broken too many plastic ones

Nice fine fluffy grind and when its all sticky and hard to turn, i drop in my jar of Iso and its new again...plus I collect a lot of hash in the bottom of the jar...stash tin, however is way too small...only holds about 8g...not enough for my day out :(

Yes of course. My favorite grinders are my thumbs and first 2 fingers.

I use my Nutribullet with the milling blade, hold it down a couple of seconds and it's good consistency for joints, and for my vape I can turn it really fine.

As someone said you want it nice and fine in a vape so your current grinder should do the trick for that if it's too fine for a joint.

I still use a wooden one I bought 15 years ago. It's just a nice piece with prongs. It is perfect for breaking apart rather than turning to powder. Useless if the bud is too sticky so is a great way to test whether the bud is ready to go.

Anyone tried a Santa Cruz Shredder? Dam they’re expensive 😲

I bought a crystal twist grinder about 15 years ago and it's still going strong. Still catches kief very well. I bought another one about 5 years ago and used it a few times before giving it away, it's shite even tho it's the same make? .
It was 30 quid at the time and is probably one of my best ever investments haha

I’m a picker, have many grinders, never use them. I like to pick the stems n shit out, also, grinders grind my shit too fine, I prefer picking my weed

I got myself a medium space case and it’s pretty good, picked it up at £20 of flea bay...

Only thing I hate is the kief scraper is a bloody triangle and makes itsooooo hard to scoop it up 😂😂

Haven't smoked for a long time now but I always enjoyed picking my weed apart. If I did grind I used the first grinder I ever bought, from my first trip to the dam 16yrs ago. Its no good for sticky weed thoughhttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20181201/26ed62fa6beaa6d19563872838849d5d.jpg

I've got one of those. Wish it was a big bigger tho. Now days I use plastic ones till they stick and squeak. Then try and scrape out was gummy bits into joints.

How long does it take for you to collect any decent amount through the mesh? I've never found there to be much worth getting excited about.

I love me some smooth, even ground herbs. ;)
I got the Amsterdam Magnetic 4-part grinder at a music festival I attended with my homies in California and I count that as my wisest decision. (I don't make many) :')
The metal part really makes it durable, plus it has a compartment for storage and kief catcher. I like to sprinkle the kief on my joints.
So yeah, if you're looking for a grinder that stays, and is not very expensive, you can get this one. Worked absolutely well for me!

I like my american-made space case, I've owned a lot of Chinese metal grinders that bent and turned to s*** in a very short time. This one is never let me down I've had it about 6 years.

I picked up this nice little Keith box on Etsy, I like buying from a real person that makes the things themselves it only cost about 90 bucks real quality.

It's also one of the few grinders I found that fits my hands.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200515/a49936909748c12c3bd9fc815df3b797.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200515/1ba88dbc2dec144fa579a9d3794af0ad.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200515/e01543c64918b82099065896cdeb9c67.jpg

Wood grinders are good but I think an upgrade to modern accessory grinders will be good.

After 30 years testing, these are the only 2 I have kept for more than 6 months. Had em both 2 years + and still cut like new. Iso soak when they gum up.

The space case titanium is great for fat hands like mine and big nugs. Solid and weighty it's a desktop grinder not a pocket carry [emoji1787]

The Santa Cruz is biodegradable (made from hemp, strong too) and cheap and just as good as the space case regards grinding. Portable and light.

It cuts perfect its never been dinged or damaged like all the Chinese metal grinders I've owned.

Yes sir, built to last. The santa cruz shredder metal grinders are top notch too but they didn't do a 2 piece large enough at a reasonable price when I was looking. More than happy with the space case, does cost me blood sometimes tho, them teeth are still razor sharp :D

[emoji1787][emoji1787]. I have so much kief man it collects well but I like my weed on the drier side. It does need to be cleaned tho. And about 6 month ago the mesh finally gave in and a small hole appeared when I was cleaning so no use for catching kief anymore. Gutted
