Hi im new to growing but having worked with reptiles and aquatics i know of a few pieces of equipment that might cross over into the growing world and help solve a few small problems for climate control in small grows, especially heat, ventallation/fans and humidity. Iv already passed these on to a few growers and they like them so thought id share with all of you.
Ceramic heat troughs (http://www.heatinfra-red.com/IRLamps.htm) - these vary in size but usually about 6" long , you can get reflectors for them to direct heat and you will need to get a thermosat with them such as one you use for reptiles. They get extremally hot and would easily heat up a decent sized small grow, the 250w version will heat a 100 gallon tank which is approx 4ft x 2ft x 2ft. there is also a bulb version and other heating alternatives (http://www.reptiles.swelluk.com/reptile-supplies/reptile-heating-equipment-414.html) that might help
Mini Fans (http://www.reptiles.swelluk.com/reptile-supplies/reptile-humidity-808/fans-813/lucky-reptile-terra-fan-set-26218.html)This pair of mini fans could be used for intake and extraction or just for circulating air and i dont think £20 is bad for the pair
humidity - This mini fogger (http://www.reptiles.swelluk.com/reptile-supplies/reptile-humidity-808/reptile-misters-810/exo-terra-fogger-22194.html) might help with humidity and the large super fogger (http://www.reptiles.swelluk.com/reptile-supplies/reptile-humidity-808/reptile-misters-810/lucky-reptile-super-fog-humidifier-26146.html) will probably do for larger grow rooms
You will be able to get all these products from any decent reptile / petshop, anyhow hope these products prove useful for someone, there maybe reasons why people dont use these products already, if so could you let me know why...thanks
