in case anyone is interested ive just been down my local b&q and they are selling off all the summer flowering bulbs for half price.

got some of these

also got some cactus dahlias for a quid and 8 more asiatic lilly for £3

got loads more in there going cheap

they should still be ok as long as they are planted soon

just need this rain to stop for a couple of hours now to get them out there.

Have you tried germing your own? I hear it responds well to a 10/0 veg, getting it started can be tricky though.........;)

You guys have stores open in the UK ? It's Good Friday everything is closed here except for gas stations and some variety stores.

its never a holiday here we have i diverse community of many faiths that dont celebrate the same holidays as us so summings always open even xmas and new years eve /day

Its a holiday for everyone who doesn't work at a DIY store, this weekend is the 2nd biggest taker for them all year, the next one being our May bank holiday...

Easter in the UK has degenerated from anything remotely religious into a mass chocolate binge, preceded by a few days of lying about. And we only really need a few days for that.. :) I had the option to take friday and monday off but don't see the point, when I can sit about and eat chocolate at work :bong:

morrisons do a nice little selection of summer bulbs too,some nice looking flowers i've had from there pinapple lillies rock my gardens world all only a £ too
