Hey, good question. I would also like to know this as i might do some outdoor growing (small scale) and need to know if swiss cheese tops well (ive got to keep plants short for stealth reasons) :thcleaf::headbang:

MEGABUMP!
I really need to know this now as I am soon to buy some seeds, and if swiss cheese doesnt top well (or if there is any other reason why it wont grow well outside in the east of england) then please, someone who knows what they're talking about, answer my prayers

you can top it as much as u want.
yes its also very good outdoors.
if your lucky it will be really close to finish come first week in october.
if the weather turns nasty you might have to chop a week early
:D

Awesome. Really as late as October? I read somewhere you could harvest mid/late september. If i were to harvest early (say, mid september) would there be dire consequences? Also, thanks for answering our question shrubman! :)

i suppose u could chop mid september, but i cant see you getting any decent bud. the determining factor in the uk is the weather, the nicer the weather the longer you can take them , thus giving more bud.
when we get down to 14.5 hours of light per day , thats when the flower stage begins, after it starts its just a waiting game to see who'll blink first .

i topped one of my cheese though not sure exactly what type of cheese and it responded very well, probably better than those i didnt top but it was just the 1 out of 7 so cant really give an accurate judgement.

Hmm, i get it... so if we have rubbish weather this summer and following (most likely haha) then i'd best harvest early (mid-late september) but if all is well on the weather front harvest later (early-mid october)? yoko's post is some nice further reassurance, im probs gonna order my seeds this weekend as well, only 5 though, first time growing ever, so i want to see how it goes...maybe more next year. Also, this might sound a bit of a noobs question, but when can you tell the buds are good to harvest?
