How many to fit in my tent?

Guys,

I'm going to do my first batch 12/12 from seed (or maybe with a week or two veg but no more)

I've got a seperate flower and veg tent so after this, I'll be taking cuttings and running a perpetual system.

So, I've got a 2.4 x 1.2 x 2m flower tent, I'll be doing 10 in 20l pots when I go for real but for 12/12 they won't get half as big and I was therefore thinking of just putting a few more in to make use of the space.

I guess, 10l square pots would be big enough for 12/12 plants but how many could I fit in that tent, without overcrowding it?

I'll have 2x 600w HPS with Grostar reflectors if that helps....

hi mate..20l pots is a big big pot ..if you use 10l pots then i imagine you could put in 10 pots with the use of 2x600w hps..have you the 20l pots now empty? if you have try to see if they all fit mate before you add soil

I'm not using 20l pots this time, I will for the next round as will have been veg'd for 8 weeks!

This time I'll use 10l pots but wondered how many I could put under 2x 600w in a 2.4 x 1.2 tent

I was thinking maybe 20 but would they suffer from over crowding?

phew..20 x10l pots going to be a stuggle but as you know mate we only allowed to say 10 growing plants here at one time..rules mate and all that lol..just get your 20 pots,sorry (10) pots lol and see if they will fit in..
and 2x600w should be enough for all your pots but I still think you are pushing it at 20 pots..

18 m8 set um out 3x5 and that will still give ya room for ya tower/standing fan or if ya looking to max it out go for 9 under each 6er 3x6
so u get 9 per 1.2mt2

I went round with the pots n measured

I could ram 6x6 for 36 if I wanted but will stick with 4x4 and have 16 - Don't want to over do it!

Gonna do 10x Northern Lights and then a pick n mix of 6 other tasty sativas; 1x G-13 Haze, 1x Morning Glory, 1x Red Cherry Berry, 1x Utopia Haze, 1x Super Lemon Haze & 1x Chocolope!

I've got some cuttings coming as well; 2x California Orange & 4x Lemon Skunk so will veg them in my 1.5 x 1.5 2x 250 CFL Blue somewhere else for 4 weeks n then bring em over when I flower this lot.

Will be germing next weekend.... just trying to get temps sorted in the tent and the water PH down 1st!

Hi mate, iv got that size tent and iv also got a growstar in another tent. i have 10 plants in my large tent but veg for 6 weeks, i reckon if only vegging for 2 weeks and a growstar on each side you should go for 18, 9 under each lamp in rows of 3. i use a grow star in a 120 x 120cm tent which is the same as what each of your lamps will be covering and 9 fit nicely under this all getting a nice even grow. you can also have the bulb much closer with the growstar you can have 600w 12" from the tip away no problem. After about 4-5 weeks veg the tent really starts to get crammed but if going straight from seed or even a 2 week veg i think you will be right!

I think I've decided on 16 for now, 2 weeks veg on 18/6 under the 2 250 CFLs and then flip to the flower tent on 12/12 under the 2 600 Grostar HPS

As soon as they are out of the veg tent, I'll be starting the next batch of 10 Northern Lights - these will be veg'd for 8-9 weeks so will keep it to the 10 from then on (10 in veg/10 in flower)

I've got my Airpump for the water now so cheers for your help with that.

I've also bought a cheap humidifier and a small delonghi oil heater along with a basic fan speed controller so I can play around to get the temps and humidity stable - at the moment, humidity is ranging from 0-31% and temps are ranging 16-29 c

I want to stabilise humidity at around 40-50% if possible by adding some cool mist from the humidifier and reduce fan speeds a bit.

I'll then use the oil heater to bring lights off temps a bit closer to 25-27

Hopefully I can get this nailed over the next week so I can germ next weeked....
