hi all thinking of starting an outside grown. and i would like to know if any has grown these before.

1: Automatic....Big Buddha’s ‘Automatic’… the next generation of autoflowering strains bred with the intention of more stability and vigour as well as flavour and a taste that the 1st generation of autoflowering strains never had.

3:Fruit Automatic>>>>Grapefruit is a very pretty plant with splendid autumn shades. It is very productive, has a great flavour and convincing effect; anyone would love to have it in their garden. i would like to know if i put 3 plants in one area how much of a smell would they kick up when in flowering. as i am close to a footpath which seldom get used and theirs no houses nearby just farm land and the odd couple of dog walkers and maybe some poachers. so i was thinking of growning these has they seem to have a fruity smell to them and hopefully people wont think its weed growning. hence my crop would be safe. any comments on these would be very helpfull. thank you all and lets all have a good season

hi , i got a big buddahs auto at about 49 days old. but she had a hard start as i snapped her stem when she was a seedling with the incubator lid , and then repaired her with a straw to hold her up and were the sraw was split i had the bottom of the stem squahsed in it. but she stilled pulled threw and is well into flowering now. i also got a 60 day wonder , afghan kush ryder, and a fast bud which is the most impresive. these 4 autos i grew in 6.5 liter pots with bio bizz all mix and then when flowering shows and bio bizz bloom and top max. my 2 new autos a ak47 and lowryder are in oxypots as im looking for a bigger yeild out of them.

as for smell there in my flowering tent for 12 hours but other 8 hours in my propagation bit witn no carbon filter or nothin but you can smell em if your with in a few feet them. so i imagine in the sunlight summy days there let quite a smell off even thou there so small. thats just my opion thou.peace and good luck with grow

hi thanks for the reply. how tall dose it grow to. and it will be going outside in one of my spots.which is well coverd by bushes and nettles. and since its an auto and they dont like their root disturb whats the best why to plant them. i have orded all the seeds now and waiting for them to arrive. all outsides plots are ready. just need to to some mesh to stop the rabbits have ago at the plants.any advice would be very welcome.

if i was you id plant them in pots and put the pots outside, im not sure about planting them into the ground, id find out more about that. at lest that way you can move em around if needed. most autos are prety small , the strain you buy from the seedbank should give you a possible hight. my big buddhas auto is 19 inches from the soil base but my fast bud is 12.5 inches . there also some super autos now which grow metres tall. peace

hi thanks for that idea i was thinking of doing them inpots outside. but i only have 2 5lts pots and a few 12lts pots. i have enough pots to cover this grow. if i fill the 12lts pots 3/4 full then it should be ok with feeding them and just use river or rain water. and what about the 5lts pots will the autos have enough room to grow to the max. and would i have to feed them.

ive been told you start in your final pot if you no what i mean. as soon as they sprouted depending which way you germinate put into the pot the plant will live in. somthing to do with they like the root space i think. 5 litre pot is minamal size id say, 12 litre def a big size. perhaps you should just go buy all the same size pots, square ones then you can put them neatly together, some autos grow with no feed i think just good soil/compost..but i use nutes when flowering comences. bio bizzz bloom and top max as i used bio bizz all mix soil/compost what ever it is. i think some strains can grow in any size pot thou, the biger the pot the bigger the plant, or small pot small plant. i heard with some strains you could even just grow in a little plastic cup and you would get about 1 gram from it. but whats the point of that hey? ive never used river water, but ive used rain water on cuttings before but if there living outside then there gona get rain water anyway. i just use tapwater thats been left for hours/days from my res tank. peace

also forgot...i will be useing j/i no2 with some of my worm cast from my wormry.....and just useing rain water with a bit of seaweed extrac in it. and if it dose need feeding then i can pick up some rabbits or sheep dropping to place on top.

lol they all smell of weed to me. john innes number 2 is a cool compost for autos. wormy & seaweed yeah but each to there own when it comes to other animal pooh, not for me.im using 6.5 liter square pots there ideal. suppose a inch or 2 would do no harm. i really carnt say what the smells will be like outside among other plants etc, mine are with other weed plants and indoors.id just put as many as you can hide away, with them square pots you can put them along side each other , your be surprised how many you be able to fit. peace

I've got some Flash growing - I have a diary going which I haven't been able to update cos of the problems with this website.

I have 9 ranging from 2 weeks to almost 5 weeks. The older ones have just started to show flowers and they seem to be strong and healthy apart from one which is runty.

I'm curious to see how they turn out as this is the 1st time I've grown autos. I will try to update my diary tonite with some photos I took at the weekend. Even 2 days later the pics are out of date as many more fleeting sites have developed.

my automatic is getting a battering by the wind so moved her to a shelted spot. no damgae to her and she still looks good. and their seemes to be a musky smell comming from her. maybe i can smell her because of the strong winds.not to worried about the smell atm has she dose not smell like cana its just a musky smell. if it gets any stronger i think she will smell like moths balls weird i know. but we will wait and see.

this is my 5 week old big buddhas automatic::::
so far she had 5ml seaweed extract and 5ml of molasses in 1 lt of rain water with some sheeps and cow manure refined. so i just place some on the top of the soil as a top dressing. and boy she seems to like it. as you can tell by the photos. she is throwing loads of white pistil out and you can see her calyx nicely. as for the smell that as seemed to have died down abit.anyway she is looking sexy. well i think so anyway. enjoy the photos as i enjoy watching her grow

she just had rainwater with plenty of sun. i have noticed that this one is slighty bigger at this stage of her life. i mean the leaves are bigger. if i am making any sense.

yer i will be useing 8-9lt pots next time. i think 12lt is a bit much for autos as you can waste a lot of good soil and food and i think 8-9lt is about right. i maybe wrong but thats the way i am thinking a.t.m. someone might come alone and tell me diffrent. but thanks for the advice and keep tuned.ps. but saying that you can now get supper autos which i think would be more suited to 12lt pots. i am thinking to grow some next year.

i just thought i would just show you people how i refine my cow and sheep manure.. for some top dressing. it a simple way when the manure is dry.its free and its a good food source. and i use it on my veg as well.

these are the tools for the job. a container, a sieve, and some dry manure. you can use any manure you like as its all good stuff.

the next step is to place the dryed manure in the sieve and place it over the container. and rub the manure gentley against the sieve.when you finished you should have a pile of every fine dust in your container. and this is the refine manure. i am useing sheep manure.

just a quick update::::she is 7 inches tall a.t.m. not a bad size since she been out side relaying on the british weather.
i was going to put my plants outside in the country side i had 2 site prepared. but then come along the Eletricity people (the ones that cut down the hedges and cut the branches that are to close to the power lines.) well they did a good job. my 2 sites are now open. god i was luckly. they would have be destoryed as in one site the branches came right on top of the place where i was going to plant. they would have been squashed. and site 2 they coverd the area with wood chippings from the branches they cut down. so now they will be staying where they are. just hopeing that they smell fruity. for me to stay safe. the moral of the story is dont plant anything near any power lines. (not the pylon type the wooden type that they use to go across the fields and farmland with the yellow sign on them.)

yes mate i read that thread about flavouring. and years ago i did hear about people useing driffrent flavours but it dose not work.and has for manure you do have a point has i thought that.. but i think thats why you flush them to rid them of all the shit in the soil. so your weed dont taste of it. so your weed taste has it should.

now for a update of my 7 week old big buddhas automatic::::
she is now 8 inches tall. she had 10ml of seaweed and 10ml molasses in 1lt of rain water. with a light dusting of refined manure.
she is still throwning out new leave and budsites. she is looking a nice little compact plant.she is in a 5lt tall pot. has for the odour their is not much a very low odour plant to grow. but if you go up to her a smell her she has a sweet pineapple smell to her. and when i rub some of her leaves she was sticky has hell nearly stuck my fingers together. i think she will go to 10 weeks maybe more because she is outside all the time. but she is loving the outside life. and she is looking sexy. anyway enough of my thoughts here are some photos of her..

this is my 5 week old cobra::::
she is now 11 inches tall.and boy has she shot up. all she had was some refine manure and rain water. now i might start her on seaweed and some molasses. i will start her off on 5ml of each to she how she gets on and with a fine dusting of refined manure. their is no odour a.t.m. and she is in a 5lt round pot and living outside with the british weather. here are some photos of my cobra.

just a little update on my Big Buddha’s ‘Automatic’......
i took alook at her though my mircoscope. and she is mostly milky. so i just flushed her now x 3 = 15lt of rain water. and the buds are not compacted. and i cant see i will get alot off her.but i dont mind has i will get better tasting weed from her. then the dealers on the street which dont know what they are selling half the time.. i am going to try and push it to week 10 to get mostly amber.she will not have any more food. just a drink of rain water if needed. if anybody has any ideas how to get the most out of her before i chop her.that will be very helpfull. she is still outside not alot of sun about just mostly rain now.

That sucks dude, can't you put a tarp over it or something to cover it? If it doesn't become any better(check longer weather prognose on the net) you might have to chop'em early then to prevent budrot etc.

i was looking at my cobra and i thought i saw a banana so i pulled it off and took alook inside the banana and i have found a small seed. i think you call it hermi. the problem i now have is my automatic has be very close to the cobra. if my cobra has hermed how would my automatic be. i took some calyx off my automatic and theirs nothing inside of her. but she has been side by side of the cobra most of the time. so i need some advice on what to do about my automatic do i leave to carry on or do i chop her. she only got about a week to go before she finished. the cobra will be put the other side of the garden untill i know what to do with her. any advice would very welcome.

i thought i would update my 7 week old cobra::::
after finding some bananas on her with small white seeds inside the pods. i thought i would let her go to full term which is around 10 weeks untill finish.
i have pick off the bananas and i am going to keep a close eye on her. has i have read some where on this forum that you can pick the bananas off. so far i have pick off 8 banana looking pods..the pods do not have any white or any hairs comming from them. and her flower buds are looking so nice its hard to throw her away.
well she is 12 inches tall i gave her some empson salts with her feed. because of some of the leaves are going a bit yellow and she is looking abit skinny. i have taken some photos of her but my camera dose not take close up.this is the best i can get a.t.m.

i have ringed two pods these two do not have any hairs comming from them. but they look like calyx.

manythanks j240 yer for 13cm tall and 4 weeks to go i dont know if i will get anything from her. but i will keep trying. this is ment to be the tallist plant out of all my autos. around 3 feet i think i might be wrong. but never mind i am enjoying the grow anyway.

after living next to the cobra most of the time and finding some bananas on my cobra. i have check her out and she looks ok. with just the flower buds looking has they should.she is now 23cm tall and still throwning out buds sites.and she is looking good. the smells is just fruitfull. i took a look at her under my mircoscope. and she is all milky with a few amber not many but i think 10 weeks should do her. with all the rain we had she has had nothing but the rain water. checked for bud rot and cant see or smell anything wrong has i said she smells of fruit. which is a good sign.i dont know how long it takes for them to turn from milky to amber but will check very couple of days. i would like to have 75% amber if poss. hare are some photos of her. the first one is a top view. enjoy the photos people.

on wards and up wards now. and would i grow the cobra again. yes but it would have to be inside a bud tent to give her the right conditions that she needs.

You can make BHO on them dude, no need to ever just throw a plant away, it can always be used in one way or another!

just another quick update.
the top part of the plant is mostly amber/dark amber. and half way down the plant including the stems they are milky and some amber.I just want to know do i trim the outer leaves off or leave them on. and i think its ready to chop. i just need some advice. and if i leave it in the dark for a day or to will this do any harm.

another update..
i gave her..her last drink. and i trimed the outer and inner leaves off. left a few small one on has my scissors and fingers got sticky has hell. and has you do i lick my fingers. and i am buzzing .a.t.m. and loving it. looking forward to smoker her soon. i have mostly amber now and it will go into darkness for 48 hours when i can find a box. which should be sometime today or tomorrow. the cola at the bottom is 2 inches wide.and it tapers to 1 1/2 inches wide towards the top with a little star on top well thats what it looks like to me. the side buds are 1 inches wide. and when i was trimming her the aroma was of strong floral lavender incense. and she is 9 1/2 inches tall. i have taken some photos of her. and your comments would be well welcomed. will updated when she comes out of darkness.enjoy the pics people.

and i forgot to say..she is about 9 1/2 weeks old. and she been living outside all the time. from seeds untill now. they say its a throw and grow seed. and they are right because it is. she stayed small and you could easly hide her. and you can forget about her for a week or two and she will still perform well. this for me is a 10 out of 10 seed to grow. has i am a beginer. out of 4 seeds i brought. 1. didnot crack. 2 hermed. and this one is close to finish and doing well. i would recommend this one to anybody who wants a easy to grow plant. i will update when she dose get the chop with the wet weight and the dry weight and a smoke report.

Two ways as I see it, either you put everything between the sheets of a news paper and let it dry in a dark place between the papers or hang everything up on lines in a dark place.

Btw Have some ventilation going, it will make it dry faster and also prevent budroot etc

I don't really know, guess it depends on several stuff, how much, how moist, the storage they are in etc but a few days to a week.

well people:: i had to do it i could not wait anymore.
SHE HAS NOW BEEN CHOPPED.
and she is drying has i wright. i placed the buds in between newspapper in a box in a dark place.
when i took her out of the 5lt tall pot her roots where 14 inches long and look good. and yes i have the wet weight which is 26 grams. the scales have to go back so i will see if i can get the dry weight. when she is dry. unless someone can work out the dry weight from 26 grams wet. but i am well chuffed with her and the weight. here are the last pictures of her and one of her 14 inche root. manythanks people and will give a smoke report when she is dryed and cured. enjoy the last pictures of her. i will be growning Big Buddha’s ‘Automatic’ again thats for sure.

yes mate i will give a smoke report on her when she is finished in a week or two. a.t.m. she is in the jar. and boy she smell great.
i binned the herms has i did not know if they where smokeable. but just found out that they where. (shit a mistake) but we live and learn.
i am going to try the cobra again soon. has i just got a bud tent and a 250 clf light with a shade so we will see soon if its worth growning.
