Cheap growing?

I know saving on lights and such is bad for the grow and lowers the yield, but im not looking for anything amazing.
I just want to get a good feel for growing.

Mainly what im asking is would it be possible with a budget of say £50 for lighting, soil, seeds and all?

Assuming i buy like 4 25W CFL's and make some form of reflector?

Also anyone know what kind of yeild 4 25W CFL's would give? Nowhere near the same as HPS i assume but could someone give me a figure in grams? assuming a decent grow.

You would get some mate, but if you are going to do it 'on a budget' so to speak, the smallest bulb i'd use for a max of 4 plants is a 200w CFL, but if your going to flower using it you won't get very good results, save up for longer, get the right kit, and reap the rewards.

Heh.. I thought this at first.. once you get going you can't help buying things to make you're grow better. In fact I think it's a constant thing... I've got a 400w light. I'm only on my second grow but I want a better one already... haha... not yet though.

I agree totally with that. I too would try and go for a 200 watt CFL (http://www.greenshorticulture.co.uk/details.asp?productid=873&subcat=125&cat=95) light, blue spec for vegging and red spec for flowering. (just switch the bulbs over in the shade)

A shade like the pro shade here (http://www.greenshorticulture.co.uk/details.asp?productid=1128&subcat=290&cat=95) would do you just fine.

Its possible to just flower the plant from the start though isnt it? because it will still grow in the 12 hours?

do you understand the stages of cannabis plant growth?
maybe you need to try and read some grow guides?
anyway why so cheap? most people over 18 can afford for a even small grow.

Im not over 18, im 18, still in college, and have no job, Hence the need for small amounts of money, and i know how cannabis grows what im saying is, im sure ive seen people grow with just a red spec light, and get some yeild.

20g maybe, as the average for 125W Enviros seems to be about an oz. Topping --> https://www.thctalk.com/cannabis-forum/showthread.php?t=1377 helps when growing with fluoros.
