Glass of water , how long?

Hi guys I had a fairly old seed that was given to me and stored away until now , last night I stuck it in some water to germ it. When I woke up it was still floating but tapping the seed on the top caused it to sink there is a very very small taproot showing :).

How long should I leave it in the water? Will the taproot grow larger if left in? (im worried about damage to the currently very small taproot when transplanting).

you should leave the seed in for only 24 hours as it can rot but if you have a small taproot you could put it between damp sheets of tissue or even put it in a jiffy or soil..but don't plant it too deep..a cm is ideal

don't let it dry out otherwise it may shivel up and die but get it in soil or whatever you are using to grow..good luck

Kandy Kush has a good 9 to 10 week flowering period as Killa-Watt which I got yesterday..cost about the same price..cost me £50 for 5 fem seeds

:D I put them in paper towel and then wet it (using the same water I had it floatign in , as it was room temp) , put it inside a sealed (ounce size) giffy bag and put it ontop of my water heater (its warm but not too hot) , About 4 hours later I can see the tap root slightly poking out , will leave it for a few hours more but thanks alot up2nogood :D.

I planted mine directly into FFOF soil at the point you are at, sprouted seeding in less than 36 hours.

I'd of planted it as soon as i see taproot,never failed me....yet.
