hey guys need some info my plants have been flowering for 54 days and iv only got 2 days left till harvest but my trichs are still all clear wot should i do ive been flushing for 6 days i dont no wot to do now and im so close to the end any replys would be great cheers

Hi Skunk Crazy

Before you give your plants an extended dark period just before harvest, you might want to consider a different opinion.

Trichomes are one of the plants defence mechanisms, a prolonged dark period triggers the plant to produce more trichomes because the plant thinks it's under threat. The problem is all the trichomes it has just produced will be clear, they will not have been given time to go milky and certainly not amber. So yes when you harvest, your buds will be more sticky, but all the new trichomes it has produced will be clear and as already stated it's milky or amber you're after.

To be honest i'm not sure myself, but I when I first read the theory that prelonged dark period does produce more trichs 'but clear ones', I thought it made sense so I don't really bother doing it now.
The only way to tell for sure would be to take a couple of buds just before the dark period and compare with other buds taken from the same area of the same plant after drying.

I always harvest at the same time.......Saturday night at about 9. After the kids have gone to bed. I can get wasted on finger/scissor hash and don't have to get up for work in the morning.

I agree if all your trichs are clear then the plant has longer to go. Don't go by what is says on the packet.
You say they have been flowering for 54 days and you only have 2 days left.

Where did you get the info that your plants will take 56 days to flower? and when did you start counting the days?.... from flipping to 12/12 or first signs of pistals?

I have recently finished a strain called Thai Haze X Skunk, not sure if your and mine have similar traits but my plants took around 15 weeks from showing first pistals.

So the more amber trichs you have, the bigger the case of couchlock and the more mungled you feel?

Is the plant you entered in POTM the one with all clear trichs?

If it is you will kick yourself for not waiting till she was ready. Plants put on a lot of weight in the final week or 2 and if you got 4.5oz wet you will probably end up with about an oz when dry.
You must have stuck to 8 weeks exactly from 12/12 despite all the good advice you had.

Still, next time you will be less eager..... we've all been there :weed:

i can,t see a strain with haze in it finnishing in 56 days more like 10 / 11 weeks mate google it you will not find a skunk haze undr 10 weeks
