Not sure u can make it out but have yet to get to grips with taking photos wi light on, the edges n tips on a couple o leaves near top look rusty. New growth is fine but while the plant was stretching still I found it at 7 inches from light in one growth spurt, I havent took any action as I aint too concerned but is it start o problem?

If growth nearer the light isn't affected then it wouldn't be heat burn unless you had a hot spot I would think.

Whatever the cause it doesn't look major, is any lower growth affected?

Nothing at all at bottom, its got nice new growth n the more fully formed leaves underneath are the affected, i presumed it had burnt but i hadnt noticed at the time. It does go spells with no nutrient in the bottom though, it drinks 1 litre of ionic bloom and boost/water solution in a few hours so spends long time drying wi vermiculite part sustaining it???Do i need to keep the res of hempy bucket wet always?

Tested ph (sorry colour solution one) n my_water + ionic_bloom = 5.5 to 6 the boost it shoots up to orange (7-ish), n thats what they been getting, with tonights feed I added vinegar till the ph came down after the boost to rule that out I think? I am worrying before the problem but that is the best time to find out before it all goes pear shaped.

as long as the bucket is watered before the plant droops it should be fine, vinegar might not keep the ph down for long, test some run off next time you water.

This is close up of damage to leaves, getting some ionic uv balance not sure that will help but it wont harm.

what temps u got lights on and out m8?

when i done NFT i used to notice the exact damage on the leaves as the above pic and it was because of cold (16c) light out temps

soon as they were sorted (20c) lights out the rust patch/spots went away the effected leaves dont get better but new growth is fine

Lights on 6 pm-6 am(night it is 25-27)
Lights off 6 am-6 pm will have to recheck this one (day it is 20-25 really really dependant on weather here lol)
Theres no damage anywhere other than edges o leaves on the spike/serration bit n the ends. I find it confusing because there is no loss o colour they are lovely n green wi bad edges. Would it be worth trying epson salts or would the leaf be yellowing? Cheers fer looking mate.

wouldnt use apsons on them m8 its not a Magnesium def imo

as you say they are healthy green and its only really a small part effected I would just keep a close eye on them over the comming weeks

Happy Growing bud

Dekay It looks like a little over-fertilization,drop the EC/PPM of your nutrient solution and it shouldn't get worse but the damage won't get better so if its stopped getting worse you've fixed it.

manny that looks like a bad deficiency,if it was over fert the leafs would curl downwards instead of up like yours are.

Right I added water only to the res and will make the next feed at what say 5 ml per l instead of 7 ml per l (that is lowering ppm??), and thanks for reply. The leaves are crispy and break easily now but the pistils are starting to go brown so hopefully it will still make it 2-3 weeks more which would be 8-9 weeks flower.

A flush of the system with plain water wouldn't go a miss before you make up the new nutes. :pimped:

Have started flushing it now i think the state of the leaves is bringing it to finish quicker as the trichs are cloudy and there are occasional amber too but the soil one is perfectly clear at same age. So this one is gonna be finished week 8-9 fer sure probably wi no top leaves as they just crumble.

It does sound like nute lockout to me that caused your problem and that could be by the slightly high nutes she was getting.

Usually you will find hydro grown plant's will finish before soil grown plant's. :weed:
