hey,

that should do fine man, im in the process of buying the same setup and i got my fan and cf and the guy in greens recomended the 4" ruck and rhino filter which is what i got and he said it would do the job fine for that size tent and 600w, but by all means go for 5" if you have the extra pennys..

4 or 5 inch. Don't recommend either for a 600 in a 1.2.
6" minimum guys, trust me, even with a 6" you'll have highish temps at this time of year, but a 5" won't be powerful enough.

I did a low powered 6" in a 1.2 with a 600, no good, needed a high powered.

You could also look into getting a intake fan for the warmer weather :)

thanx for the info guys, you may be right up in smoke ive been thinking 6 inch and rhino filter will just have to wait another week for the funds but itl be worth it. also im putting it in my garage so the temps might be a bit more favourable. what about the tent anyone got one of these? thanks for your help guys.

Meh, provided it don't fall to bits, a tents a tent.
Garage may cause problems, you'll get temp swings. On hot days it'll be ridiculously hot and humid in there I'd imagine (is it uninsulated? Most garages are so I've taken a bit of an assumption on that one), but uninsulated means cold days will be cold and hot days will be hot to the extremes.

Its an ok kit but its deceiving and thats what they're playing on.

Firstly its the 300ml filter, not the 600. The 300 is a little stubby thing, I have the 600 in a 1.2 space. The 300 may have coped, but I wouldn't liked to have chanced it.

The fan says its a 6" 690m3. From my experience of buying a 690m3 fan, when I received it, it turned out to be 590m3. Of course that may of just been a bad experience. But the 590 I will be upgrading soon to a 725 which is what I was supposed to get in the first place, then I decided to try and go a tiny bit cheaper by going with a 690 fan compared to 725. As I say though, I received it and its 590m3, not 690.

Rhino filters are top notch though mate

I have the ruck 125mm model L, its ok but it can struggle a bit and I also use a cooltube with a 125mm tt fan (shit fan) on.

Get the 150mm 6" ruck or equivlent, make sure its the uprated one L or S, just make sure you also get the proper carbon filter for it and get some sort of controller because if you turn it off during night time humidity will go up while in flower and you could end up with bud rot. :)
