Just Got My Ruck And Rhino Pro, Help Me Wire The Ruck.

So This is my new ruck fan
it all look's good but has no wire's so i guess i will have to wire it myself which i will be able to do but not sure what wire i need and what amp plug or whatever, if anyone can help then thats great.

And here is my rhino pro, the carbon filter casing is slightly covered in what i can only guess is carbon, not sure if it will leak carbon but only time will tell.
all look's good for the filter though, just the ruck im not sure about.

Hi mate, they don't wire them up as they don't know how long you will need it to be, pop down to wickes or something mate and get some normal 3 core cable (earth, live, neutral) a 5amp fuse should be enough for it

Bungee cords work a treat and help to dampen the vibrations, I got 5 for a fiver from The Range.

yeah use the same size ones..use 2 though or even 3 as these are pretty heavy with the fan connected as well..Yes use 3 core wire..at least 5 to 7 meters 15ft to 21ft long just in case its going all the way to the opposite wall..

There is a plug socket directly behind my grow tent so i have chosen to get 2M as it will be enough i hope,
Im right in thinking it will fine just going into the plug socket and i don't have to wire it to the main switch board in my cellar do i lol ?
im thinking this thing is going to suck me in it's that powerfull.

im just concerned about space and how heavy it is,
after all the picture below is where it will be going and not sure if i have room.

You can't see how small the space is as in this picture i would think i have space,
but it is kinda cramped up at the top for space.
i will make it work like but will be a squeeze

your bars on top of the tent will be able to hold the weight no problem,I had a cooltube/ruck fan and filter and it was ok..You got a 4inch ruck?

yeah a 4" ruck and filter to match with Accoustic duct pipe thing, the silver coil stuff
hopefully if all goes well i will have it all wired up and hanging in place by tonight or tomorrow then germ my seed over the weekend and should be planted by monday i hope.

what I would do mate is leave it on for at least 5 hours with the light on and fans on and see what temps you are getting

with regards the carbon filter . . . . do you get carbon dust being sucked from inside the filter and blown out the tent extraction duct ? i guess this could cause majoy mess and collatral ear bashing of her indoors lol

you may get a very tiny amount of dust but I have never seen any myself..

lol..you will only get some dust on your filter sleeve but none coming out of the ducting..good luck lol

the temps at moment are pretty cool so expect between 22c to 28c ..what light are you using again?

lol, if you go acoustic ducting mate it does make it much more silent

was that pissed off i smashed my light in the room with the shade on it aswell :(
So i now need a new 300W CFL and a light shade and a bulb for my room

Careful fella, Those CFL's contain Mercury (allbeit only a bit but enough) Avoid hoovering up any mess and dont breathe in any direct fumes in from the broken bulb.

Put it round the filter like a Sock, Or a condom, Whichever way you wanna look at it lol. It stops bits/dust being sucked into your filter and restricting airflow, After a grow or 2 you will see all the dirt and dust its collected, Then just pop it in the washing machine on a cool-cold wash, Or buy a new 1 for about a fiver, The rhino filter its self should be good for 3 yrs+

i ordered another light a few hour's after smashing it,
so i may start a germ tomorrow
and if the seed's pop before the light get's here give them abit of sun light,
but light won't be long

as far as im aware i was probibly going to put it in a shot glass or glass of water over night in a dark place then put in paper towels on a plate in a dark warm area and leave for 48 hour's and check back every 12 hour's untill popped

Why piss about? lol. I just pop the seed into the growing medium about an inch down, cover it up, turn the light on and pretty much get 100% germ rate after a couple of days. Dont like the thought of having to handle a seed with its taproot hanging out with my clumsy fingers, This way seems more O'natural!

Yep, that's the way I did it, although I made an error!

Put them in some water, leave for 24 hours, then poke, they should sink, if they don't, leave for a little longer, poke again.

When they sink then transfer to paper towels in a sandwich box or something, then put them in your airing cupboard or somewhere.

I screwed one of my seeds up as I poked them all straight away, one sank immediately, which means it was ready, but I then left it in there at the bottom, think that killed it! To be honest that was a blessing in disguise as there was no way I was getting 3 in my tent!

Make sure you have some water ready, stood for 24 hours + and at a good temperature...

EDIT - indeed, a lot of people just do it that way ^^ - for me though, I liked to see the progress, I didn't like the idea of just not seeing them, paranoid nothing was happening!
